$525.00 $766.50

This electronic download of the NuGen Audio VisLM-C to VisLM-H Upgrade for Loudness Meteringfrom NuGen Audio VisLM-C to VisLM-H Upgrade for Loudness Meteringis a compact loudness meter plug-in and standalone application that offers a variety of loudness measurement tools intended for use in audio mastering, broadcast, film and more. It offers true-peak level metering designed to additionally capture spikes that may occur between samples. This method delivers a greater degree of accuracy compared to other forms of metering such as sample peak and QPPM (quasi-peak program meter) which do not detect inter-sample peaks.

The VisLM-H can also aid in loudness normalization by allowing for comparisons between loudness and loudness range. This can help in mixing to ease the process of balancing the gain levels between different audio sources such as music, dialog, effects, etc. These measurements can also come in handy in mastering to help determine the appropriate dynamic compression settings.

In addition, the software also offers momentary loudness metering for real-time level monitoring, short-term metering which shows loudness levels over 3 second windows, and program metering which displays a long-term averaged loudness measurement.

Note: This upgrade is for registered users of the VisLM-C software

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. SD card or USB? Which is best for recording audio?

A: The Datavideo H.264 Dual Streaming Encoder/Recorder only has recording onto the SD.

Q: 2. I'd like to use a threaded bolt to mount this to the ring mount on my macro lens so I can use it to hold my 2 small macro flash heads. I don't think the mounting unit is threaded, it just slips over the tripod bolt? If so, would it be possible to attach to the ring mount?

A: You're correct - the rig itself has no threads and is wedged between the Joby legs and the head (as depicted) or any item you would attach to the legs directly. The Joby 3K and 5K are both 1/4"-20 and come with 3/8"-16 bushing adapters, so they will fit almost every typical photo accessory out there. The upgrade mounting ring will then sit between the Joby legs and your ring light as long as its protuberances don't get in the way of your ring light fitting.

Q: 3. Can the software be programmed to cache the first 30 - 60 seconds to create a delayed playback/view?

A: Sorry, but we cannot find any evidence that it can do that kind of programming.

Q: 4. What kind of latency can I expect with one of these?

A: AVMATRIX does not have a published latency for the AVMATRIX H.264/H.265 SDI Streaming Encoder.

Q: 5. will this attach to a regular tripod?

A: We have no reports of that combination and it is unsupported by warranty. That being said, the top plate of the tripod would be the crucial question. Most likely that is an industry standard diameter, so we think the chances are better than 50/50 it will attach.

Q: 6. Can this also be used as a Decoder? The LAN example has an avmatrix decoder pic, do no info.

A: No, the AVMATRIX H.264/H.265 SDI Streaming Encoder is not bi-directional. It can not be used as a decoder.

Q: 7. is this adaptable with 1K kit version?

A: Not that we are aware of. This is only listed for the 3K and 5K GorillaPod Kits.

Q: 8. What is the latency of the conversion?

A: Users have reported a latency between 150-200ms.

Q: 9. Is there a certain type of SD card or USB thumb drive that works best with this machine for recording audio and video?

A: The Datavideo H.264 Dual Streaming Encoder/Recorder has no recording with the USB, it is for Firmware updates only. The SD card Does not need to be UHS-II.

Q: 10. I have had my Gorilla Pod for quite some time. How do I tell if the upgrade will work on my pod? I cant find a model number.

A: I sent my question to Joby. They replied very quickly and asked that I send a photo of my pod. Another prompt reply and I get my answer that my pod can use the upgrade.

[Download] This Camcorder exceeds all my expectations. I came from the Sony PXW-Z190 and I do miss the 25X optical zoom but now I have more clarity and 4K is awesome. The recording in HEVC files makes the files half the size of the regular .264 or MPEG files with double the quality. The 30X zoom is very usable. The slow motion is buttery smooth. The U30 battery that comes with it won’t give you all day recording, so get the U60 for that. The Canon L glass shows clear and precise. I haven’t tested low light yet, but the groups and forums on Facebook have tested and uploaded clips that say its a winner in that regard as well. The biggest compliment is the use of SD cards...Initially I was leary about getting this camcorder because FCPX couldn’t read the HEVC files...6 months later, FCPX can read the files and edit them. Just be sure you have a fairly newer MacBook Pro because I have two, one I bought in 2014 and the newer one I bought in 2017...I recorded two different church services and loaded each on the different laptops. The newer 2017 model processed the files with no problem, but the older 2014 would load in FCPX but that’s it. So I took a clip 30 seconds long, updated my software, updated FCPX and tried, still no processing or saving the clip...So now I will be getting a new MacBook Pro to make sure I have a New Laptop that I know should work and also a backup in my 2017...Oh and Canon just released a new firmware for the XF705 with some nice improvements and fixed some problems people were experiencing...I didn’t have any problems but then again I’ve only had it two weeks...It’s not cheap but if you got about 8000 laying around go for it...

[1 User] As we acquire more advanced multimedia storytelling skills, using the camera has to become almost second nature to us. The real emphasis evolves from which camera and lens to use into always being ready to capture the story as it unfolds with interviews and supporting that story with plenty of supporting B roll media and stills.

The alternative is simply missing the action or out of focus stuff while fiddling with a cinema camera. For solo shooters or a very small crew, the new Canon XF705 will do a fantastic job for most all projects. Its ease of use, solid feel, shallow DOF and low light capabilities, ability to shoot 4k on fast inexpensive SDXC cards offers a very different workflow to using a Cinema camera and heavy rail system much less trying to keep those Cinema lenses in focus.

As of today, the Canon utility for the brand new camera allows you to view the 4k media on either a PC or Mac, but neither FCP X, nor Adobe are able to ingest that media. That will be coming soon they tell me.

Well worth the money!

[Download] Bought this and its matching rx. They seem pretty good. You can select different definitions, FHD, HD, SD, and then can assign them to the 3 types, and allocate bit rates for each. Eg you can select HD, send that to SD and a bit rate of 800 and FHD to HD and a bit rate of 2000 etc. It then selects the resolution type, eg 720P. The only limitation I find a bit strange is that the full range of resolutions, are not available all the time. They vary what is available depending on the Hz, 50Hz or 60Hz of the incoming HDMI. I am using 60Hz, and this does not have 1080i, but if I was using 50Hz, then 1080i would be included.
60Hz has 480i, 480P, 720P, 1080P.
50Hz has 576i, 576P, 720P, 1080P, 1080i.
The other strange thing I notice is that if I select a bit rate of 800Kbps, and then monitor the link at the IP level, it seems to be using about 3.5Mbps.
However, for quality and ease of use, these seem to be great devices.

[1 User] The Osprey is quite versatile and reliable. We have purchased dozens of the G1 & G2 encoders for use throughout numerous facilities in our extensive network. Our primary use is for multicasting, but we also do a number of unicasts and YouTube streams.
Osprey tech support is so helpful and knowledgeable, which is another huge selling point.
We have used numerous other manufacturers products (HaiVision, Evertz, Ensemble Design, and Lynx). All of them work fine but Osprey offered the best quality and reliability for the price.

[Yes] This has everything I wanted in a pick up and shoot, quality camera. The image stabilization when zoomed all the way in is great. The autofocus is excellent. Being able to record in Log is great too.

[Download] There's so many protocols to work with in this little box, and decodes practically anything thrown at it.

It's not an entry level unit but it's very very good and VITEC keeps improving it

[Yes] These units are ideal for instant connect up and they work. You can customise the bit rate and it keeps the video smooth. One TX can feed many RX.

[Yes] I purchased a XF705 from B&H approximately 7 months ago. I have been waiting patiently for a FCPX upgrade to allow the H.265 files to be ingested to FCPX. Good News...with the recent upgrade to FCPX, ver 10.4.7, I can import the XF705 H.265 files directly into FCPX. I am running macOS Mojave, ver 10.14.6. My iMac computer was manufactured in late 2015. I have to use proxy files for editing, otherwise my computer hangs up.
