The Roland HT-RX01 HDBaseT Receiver - High-Quality Signal Deliveryfrom Roland HT-RX01 HDBaseT Receiver - High-Quality Signal Deliveryreceives an HDMI signal from an HT-RX01 receiver (sold separately) from up to 328 ft over a shielded CAT5e or higher Ethernet cable. This makes it possible to connect video cameras, Blu-ray decks, switchers, and other source equipment to LCD monitors, projectors, and other display devices. When used as a receiver for the HDBaseT output of an XS Series multi-format matrix switcher, RS-232C control signals can be extended along with video and audio signals. This can achieve audio/video transmission in school auditoriums, company conference halls, and other large spaces.

A: Yes you can. This product comes with an RS-232 to USB adapter. With that adapter you'll be able to fully control the unit on your computer through USB.

A: There should be no latency and we see no issue using this for gaming.

Q: 5. Do I have to use an HDMI distribution amplifier with these or can I simply run my source directly into the transmitter?

A: I am not using any kind of signal amplification over a 70 ft CAT6 run, and I haven't had any trouble. If you're getting near the stated max run length, it might be prudent, but otherwise, you should be fine.

Q: 6. Is it possible to use many decoders while only using one encoder?...to multiply the signal and send it to multiple destinations.

A: You have two options: This kit Includes an external power supply or you can use IEEE 802.3af PoE Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE).

A: The Kramer TP-580TXR Extended Range HDBaseT Twisted Pair Transmitter does not support POE powering and would require the use of its included power supply.

Q: 9. is the extender IP based? is it able to be fed through a switch in its own VLAN? or does it have to be a direct connection on both ends?

A: The Tiffen 52mm Digital HT (High Transmission) Circular Polarizing Multi-Coated Filter is multi-coated on both exterior surfaces of the filter.

Tried to find barrel connectors to power transmitters with USB batteries, no luck yet. These things are built like a tank, need to be careful with connectors though in ENG mobile conditions. 5
