[CE, FCC, RoHS] I needed to replace an IDE disk in an old legacy system and this seemed to be the most cost-effective solution. The upgrade went without a hitch and this adapter has been working perfectly. I am very happy with it.

[0.5 oz (14.2 g)] This little thing can really teach the legacy motherboards how to maintain the perspective drives and SSD. Safe and secure, it connects the one side to 80-pin IDE parallel tail and the other to your winchester disk. The file system translates completely without issues. You may need to know specially if your system board's bios will work with 2 Tb and more capacity, and if you have Windows XP installed you check how your large HDD fits. The pleasant pack and it works out of the box. Thanks BHPhoto

[CE, FCC, RoHS] ... I installed Windows 10 64 bit on my PC. Nothing hot swap about it now that I can find. Under Windows 7 64 bit it was genuinely hot swap. It was the simplest thing to install and use.
With Win 10 I need to power off the PC, remove the HDD installed, insert the required HDD and power on again. I can't find a solution so this is a last resort :-( . From what I've found it is a problem with Win 10 not the device. Nonetheless, with 4 HDDs ranging from 3 to 6 TB, it is a pain in the sitting apparatus it won't hot swap now.
If there is a solution I'd love to know what it is.

[15 to 90%] Worked great with my 1.6 XBOX. If you have trouble with the older models try another brand but keep this one around. And worked to put a 2TB drive in said original XBOX!
