The black IRC132 Series Short Range 850nm IR Illuminator from Iluminar is designed to be used with true day/night CCTV cameras. This illuminator is invisible to the human eye but visible to black/white and true day/night cameras, which makes it a covert/non-obtrusive illumination. Also, thanks to its invisibility to the human eye, it does not create the problem of light pollution. It has a longer range than visible light due to the higher wavelength of approximately up to 919’ (280m). The illuminator is designed to provide superior IR lighting for CCTV cameras.

Supplied with an IP66 rating, this illuminator is vandal-proof and designed for both indoor & outdoor use. The tempered glass panel and die-cast aluminum housing provide protection from the harsh weather conditions and rapid temperature variations (-58 to 140°F).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can this be plugged in to wireless modem for power?

A: The modem would need to supply a constant and reliable appropriate PoE voltage.

Q: 2. Any lumens rating for this unit?

A: Unfortunately the manufacturer doesn't have a specification for it

Q: 3. What is the purpose/use for the end opposite of the one with the standard 5/8" spigot?

A: It can be used for some devices that use a 3/8 stud.

Q: 4. How is the arm attached to a stand? Does it come with something? I can't figure it out from the photo.

A: It has a little knob that fits on top of a normal light stand.

Q: 5. Is this rated for rifle mount?

A: Luna Optics Laser IR Illuminator (Picatinny/Weaver Mount) BH #LULNELIR3 • MFR #LN-ELIR-3 For precision alignment with the line of sight of your night optic, the illuminator also has beam direction adjustments for two axes. For Any NVD with Picatinny/Weaver Rail

Q: 6. Will the Westcott Illuminator Arm Extreme fit a Promaster Deluxe Light Stand LS-2n?

A: Yes, the ball-joint mount will fit any 5/8" standard dia. light stand shaft, which the Promaster has. It does not attach to the threaded stud, but slips over it and is secured by a setscrew on the collar.

Q: 7. Is there a way to mount this on a tripod?

A: The AXTON Nano AT-3M-S 44'-Range Compact Infrared Illuminator with Day/Night Sensor (850nm, 150°),BH # AXAT3MS150, is not natively tripod mountable

Q: 8. What is the minimum sized relector that can be held between the two clamps? I have Westcott's 30-inch Illuminator series (6 in 1). Their non-extreme version mentions it can work with the 30-inch units, but this unit doesn't (also checked their web site). For just one dollar more than their other version, hoping this can work since it seems more versatile. Thanks.

A: The clamps can be set at about 9 apart at a minimum.

Q: 9. can this be plugged in to a wireless modem for power?

A: The modem would need to supply a constant and reliable appropriate PoE voltage.

Q: 10. How do I supply 12V to this Iluminar IR919? The document describes the cable as a 6 wire in different colours - There is only 4 wires on the mounted cable!

A: Hello Bo. The Low voltage IR919-2 series unit has 6 wires. The black and red wire are for power. The other wires are not needed unless you want to bypass the photocell. a href= http://iluminarinc.com/images/pdf/iriluminators/IR919-2-Series-v2.0.pdf target= _blank http://iluminarinc.com/images/pdf/iriluminators/IR919-2-Series-v2.0.pdf/aa href= http://iluminarinc.com/images/pdf/Iluminar-installation-instructions-Series-II-v2.pdf target= _blank http://iluminarinc.com/images/pdf/Iluminar-installation-instructions-Series-II-v2.pdf/aIf you have an IR919-PoE-2 model then you will only have 4 wires. The PoE units will have two cables. One for a CAT5 cable. You need a Hi-PoE injector that can power a unit up to 60W. The second cable is for telemetry, which again, is for bypassing the photocell. a href= http://iluminarinc.com/images/pdf/iriluminators/IR919-PoE-2-Series-v1.0.pdf target= _blank http://iluminarinc.com/images/pdf/iriluminators/IR919-PoE-2-Series-v1.0.pdf/aa href= http://iluminarinc.com/images/pdf/Iluminar-PoE-installation-instructions-Series-II-v1.0.pdf target= _blank http://iluminarinc.com/images/pdf/Iluminar-PoE-installation-instructions-Series-II-v1.0.pdf/aRegards,Eddie Reynolds eddier@iluminarinc.com

[12 W] Well-built and surprisingly bright for a short range illuminator.
My only gripe is the user manual I received, it came in every language except English. I would have preferred more technical information about optimum placement and more intelligible graphs for the various diffusers. Even so, not a big issue. A couple minutes of trial and error and you'll have the neighborhood lit up nicely. Definitely recommend.

[45°] Using this to light up the side yard all the way to the back fence, about 90 feet. Just like in Iluminar's youtube videos this thing throws IR light everywhere. I love that a separate camera in a opposite corner that just sees the backyard sees the massive amount of IR light that it puts out. I have this model and the IR148 both are built solid after a year later still waterproof and working fine.

[66' (20 m)] This illuminator greatly improved the night visibility of my security camera. I am very pleased with it. Worth the money.

[66' (20 m)] I bought a similar version from another manufacture to increase the license plate reading capability of my Dahua 5442E-Z4E license plate camera. It was a nice step in the right direction. So, I decided to up the IR some more and see how that would work. While searching the internet I found this model with double the IR power. I bought one and it was an even bigger success. I can now read close to 100% of the plates. So, I have ordered two more to go in my other locations. By the way, this one draws 1 Amp @ 12vdc of power according to the spec sheet that came with the camera. For comparison the other one draw 4/10 of an amp at 12vdc. I am very impressed with this unit.

[12 W] Bought 2 after other cheaper illuminators were low-light. THey run off a 12 V 7AH battery and the beam means they illuminate objects within 50 ft or more!

[12 W] I've had a few of these scattered about the property for a couple years now. Throws a lot of IR and have been flawless. Beam pattern, IR power, and photocell sensitivity are adjustable.

[2.2 lb (1.0 kg)] After I bought the first one and seeing how good it was, I ordered 3 more. They are that good for license plate reading. I have to say that I am now in the 99 percentile in reading license plates. I am going to post a picture of a golf cart with a standard California plate. The measured distance is 187 feet. The camera I am using is a Dahua 5442E-Z4E at full extension. I do not recommend using this camera at over 75 feet for license plate gathering.
