The black powder coated Iluminar IRC250 Medium-Range IR Illuminator 850nmfrom Iluminar IRC250 Medium-Range IR Illuminator 850nmis designed to provide IR lighting for true day/night CCTV systems. It employs sixteen 850nm IR LEDs that provide illumination up to 116' (35m). This IP66-rated illuminator is vandal-resistant and can be installed outdoors. Its die-cast aluminum housing and tempered glass panel provide protection from harsh weather conditions and rapid temperature variations ranging from -40 to 122˚F (-40 to 50˚C). The illuminator features dual power input (12 VDC or 24 VAC) and automatic IR on/off via built-in photocell.

A: Hello Bo. The Low voltage IR919-2 series unit has 6 wires. The black and red wire are for power. A: It has a little knob that fits on top of a normal light stand.

Q: 5. What is the minimum sized relector that can be held between the two clamps? I have Westcott's 30-inch Illuminator series (6 in 1). Their non-extreme version mentions it can work with the 30-inch units, but this unit doesn't (also checked their web site). For just one dollar more than their other version, hoping this can work since it seems more versatile. Thanks.

A: The clamps can be set at about 9 apart at a minimum.

[45°] Added this for my License Plate Camera and it is better than expected with a focused high intensity IR light that reflects off of plates making all plates at night easily readable. See attached photos and note emitters are red and visible just hard to photograph. Also have 2 other Axton IR emitters for the front yard that replaced some cheap IR emitters. The difference in coverage, distance and even spread is night and day. 5

[17.6" (45.0 cm)] The Axton AT-25S flood illuminator is exactly what I needed. My cameras with built in IR illuminators would attract insects to the cameras themselves which triggered motion events and alerts at night constantly. Rain also would trigger events on some cameras due to IR reflection off of rain droplets. I mounted the Axton illuminator between and above the cameras so insects would be attracted away from the cameras. The 150 degree pattern is great. I am ordering a second one to flood the other side of the house now. 5

[32 W] I bought a similar version from another manufacture to increase the license plate reading capability of my Dahua 5442E-Z4E license plate camera. It was a nice step in the right direction. So, I decided to up the IR some more and see how that would work. While searching the internet I found this model with double the IR power. I bought one and it was an even bigger success. I can now read close to 100% of the plates. So, I have ordered two more to go in my other locations. By the way, this one draws 1 Amp @ 12vdc of power according to the spec sheet that came with the camera. For comparison the other one draw 4/10 of an amp at 12vdc. I am very impressed with this unit. 5

[45°] Bought 2 after other cheaper illuminators were low-light. THey run off a 12 V 7AH battery and the beam means they illuminate objects within 50 ft or more! 5

[16] Well-built and surprisingly bright for a short range illuminator. My only gripe is the user manual I received, it came in every language except English. I would have preferred more technical information about optimum placement and more intelligible graphs for the various diffusers. Even so, not a big issue. A couple minutes of trial and error and you'll have the neighborhood lit up nicely. Definitely recommend. 5
