A: I agree with Eric. The bottom side cylinder clamps probably would not work on the hole. I would suggest as resolution, to get a 1x1 wood block cut to cover the hole on the bottom then you could clamp the wood to the desk and solve the issue.

A: I have it mounted on a small glass top desk, it comes with a small rubber pad wich you just stick on the bracket to tighten. So far it holds good! No complaints.

A: It depends on the exact shape and depth of the hole. The mounting flange is just shy of 2.5 but is D shaped (to go along a wall). The flange may or may not fit into the hole as the longest distance from the corner of the D to the opposite rounded edge is closer to 3 . However the clamping depth/height may allow for the rounded portion to fit to the hole and allow you to bring the entire clamp forward so that the rear-flat part of the D can take up the diameter of the hole. If the hole is only 2.5 and the desk thickness is more than 1.5 you might not be able to fit the clamp.But if the desk is about 1.5 and the hole is a generous 2.5 you will probably be fine.

A: Not all monitors are mountable . The ones that are have a clear noticeable 4 holes on the back of the monitor which are standard for any mount. The mount is screwed onto the back of the monitor via these 4 holes. Non-mountable monitors have a clean back with no holes and need to be used with a stand. This particular mount will attach to any mountable monitor. Your investigation should be whether or not these Asus monitors are indeed mountable . Hope this helps.
