The Kaiser 38mm Push-On Lens Cap for Protectionis designed to fit any camera, enlarger lens, binocular, tele-, micro-, or spotting scope lens. It is for lenses having a front or rear ring with an outside diameter of 38mm. The cap should fit snuggly but not so tight that it is hard to remove.

A: A 50mm lens does not typically refer to the filter threads and or lens diameter. This lens happens to take a 49mm filter but that is the inner diameter of the lens. Your lens is probably anywhere from 51-54mm. Most people buy 2 or 3 different sizes and return the ones that don't fit.

A: No. the Canon G5x does not take lens caps.

A: This is a 65mm push on cap. It is designed to go on a lens with an outer diameter of 65mm, meaning the inner diameter of the cap will also be 65mm.

A: Most likely. I used a 41mm Kaiser cap on an Arriflex lens as a temporary rear cap. The lens rear is 41mm. I just tried an actual Arri rear cap on my Leica's Summitar, and it fit.

[0.07 lb] I use this push-on cap on a 30 year old Nikon Polarizer that has two sizes of filter threads so of course there is no cap to fit a 60 mm filter thread. These push-on caps come in 1 mm increments. They will most likely work on lens hoods as well ( when I used hoods 30 years ago I had Tupperware food storage container caps, and anything else that would work). These Kaiser caps from Germany are great. I recommend using a caliper to measure the outer diameter of the what you intend to cap. 5

[38 mm] This fits well and covers the retractable lens without coming off. It protects the lens leaves which cover the glass and eliminates dirt or dust getting in collecting on the retract mechanism. Doesn't remove paint from gripping the control ring. Sized just right. 5

[0.07 lb] In general I prefer these Kaiser caps over pinch caps, they add protection to the side and don't spring off. They fit filters and need to be 2mm larger than the filter diameter. They fit B+W 60mm filters well. If you get one that is slightly loose then add a bit of tape to the internal and custom fit it. These Kaiser caps are made well enough to last many years, I have similar caps that are 40+ years, they take a beating. Easily fit into a pocket. 5

[38 mm] This is a great cap for Olympus lenses that use 46mm filters, like the 12mm f/2 and 17mm f/1.8. They fit perfectly, and come off without searching for the pinch tabs. The loop at the edge lets you tether it with a simple lanyard that looks better than the stick-on type, too. 5

[0.07 lb] Perfect for the Canon G7xii. Aside from protecting the blades, it also doubles as a way to prevent the lens from having dust infiltrate into the lens barrel and the sensor. 5

[38 mm] Lost lens caps for older Swift binoculars, Japanese made. I carefully measured the outside of the barrels with a accurate micrometer and ordered. The new caps fit perfectly and the 48mm has a little tab or ear that allows a tether to slip through. The smaller cap has no tab, so I used a stick on lens keeper, all from B&H. Very happy. The cap material is just slightly flexible, so is not brittle. There is a slightly raised rib around the outer edge that makes the caps easy to pull off. 5

[38 mm] I bought this 70mm cap to fit over 67mm thin filters. Fits perfectly. Not too tight, but doesn't slip off. Fits over other filters too. Simple enough but perfect. 5
