Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is 43mm the inside diameter of this cap?

A: Yes. Sizes are inside diameter of the cap

Q: 2. Is this lens cap hard plastic or soft (e.g., rubber)

A: The cap is hard plastic not rubber. It has a little flexibility but not like rubber.

Q: 3. Would this work on a 43.5mm lens (Olympus 35RC)?

A: The Kaiser 43mm Push-On Lens Cap might be too tight for a lens that diameter is 43.5mm. This one might fit better, https://bhpho.to/2Hnix68

Q: 4. Does anyone know if this slip on lens cap fits the Panasonic ZS100?

A: Unfortunately the Kaiser push on cap will fall off the ZS100. When the camera is turned off, the lens is retracted. The ZS100 has a built in guillotine style lens cover that automatically covers the lens when powered down so an accessory lens cap is not needed.

Q: 5. will this lens cap fit a canon g5x mark II?

A: No, the Kaiser 54mm did not fit the G5X Mk II. However, I tested the 56mm and it fit well! https://bhpho.to/3KMfJNL

Q: 6. will this fit over a1.625'-1.630" scope ocular?

A: Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the Kaiser 41mm Push-On Lens Cap would work on your listed equipment. The Kaiser 41mm Push-On Lens Cap is designed for lenses that have an outer diameter of 41mm, or 1.614 inches, so 1.625 inch or 1.630 inches may be too large. However, I would recommend that you can purchase the push-on lens cap and try it on your equipment. If it does not work for your usage needs, you have 30 days from the purchase date to return the item for an exchange or a refund.

Q: 7. Will the Kaiser 41mm Push-On Lens Cap work on a Leica Summitar 50mm f/2.0 collapsible lens?

A: Most likely. I used a 41mm Kaiser cap on an Arriflex lens as a temporary rear cap. The lens rear is 41mm. I just tried an actual Arri rear cap on my Leica's Summitar, and it fit.

Q: 8. Does it fit on Heliopan 62mm Variable ND filter?

A: If your ND filter have the female thread to receive it, it will work. This one have no female thread, only the male one, so it must be the the last one to be mounted.

Q: 9. what is the inside diameter of the cap?

A: This is a 65mm push on cap. It is designed to go on a lens with an outer diameter of 65mm, meaning the inner diameter of the cap will also be 65mm.

Q: 10. My lens filter is nominally 55mm. But a push on cap would have to be slightly larger, wouldn't it? Is the inside diameter of this cap 55mm (or 57mm) ?

A: Since it is made to fit on a lens that is 55mm in diameter (not to be confused with a lens having a 55mm filter size), the inside diameter of the Kaiser 55mm Push-On Lens Cap (B&H# KALC55) has to be just slightly smaller than 55mm so that it will bend just enough that it can still fit and also be snug but not overly tight.

[Front] Works well over my 1950's 50mm Summarit.

[0.07 lb] I use this cap on the back of a 43mm threaded wide angle adapter for my camcorder. It fits snugly on the threads and stays in place. It's way overpriced for a plastic disc, though. It costs as much as a low-end 43mm UV filter.

[Front] I use these in various sizes for eyepieces, and lens caps. Better build than most, and fit superbly - very well made.

Highly recommended.

[7 x 4.5 x 0.7"] Like another reviewer mentioned, I purchased this lens cap as an alternative for my Leica Summarit 50 1.5
The factory cap is expensive and difficult to find, plus it tends to sit loose on the lens. This cap fits excellent and I don't have to worry about buying a replacement for the original cap any longer.

[43 mm] Whenever I buy a new lens I replace the pinch cap with the slip on cap
I like them much better. They do not break give better protection and old school which I like

[0.07 lb] I use these as rear lens caps for Leica-M lenses that don't have a retrofocus design. Works very well for lenses without projecting rear elements.
