A: After some testing... answer... YES and NO.It does work with interchangeable commanders, but it will NOT do TTL. So, a Sony version trigger will actually trigger a Nikon version flash, but will NOT do TTL. Even though you can set the flash and trigger to TTL, it doesn't do it. I placed both Nikon and Sony version of the flashes next to each other and did a shot of the same subject using each flash one at a time in TTL from a Sony version A1 trigger and it was obvious the Nikon version wasn't adjusting at all.So, just be aware. Their marketing says YES they work, but there needs to be a * next to that.

Q: 2. Is there any way to turn off the awful pre-flash when using it wirelessly with a A7r2? It makes the subjects blink 95% of the time.

A: Stop using TTL and you will not have a Pre-Flash, its only in TTL. In Manual fires once only. This is a rule of TTL, it always fire a Pre-Flash in any flash and brand.

A: Yes. The Di700A for Nikon may be used with the Nikon CLS system. It also has two straight optical slaves which will work with any system as they are not flash specific. Power must be set manually in this case. SD - Slave Digital is to be used with a TTL flash as it ignores the pre-flash and syncs with the exposure flash. SF-Slave Film will fire with the first flash that it sees so is intended to me used with a manual flash or studio strobe.

A: Yes, Once the Nissin Di700A is off camera, it may be controlled from any of the Nissin Air 1 Commanders. So if you have a Nikon Di700A, you may control it with a Nikon Version Air 1 Commander. For your MFT system you will simply need to purchase the MFT Air 1 Commander. Please note that you will need to pair the flash with the Air 1 Commander when you switch from your Nikon system to your MFT system.
