Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I write with pen on one side?

A: Yes you can.Pencil or pen can be used.

Q: 2. Just to make sure.. If I were to print a positive image in b/w, it would produce a negative on the paper correct??

A: That is correct!! Whatever you print on the transparency sheets in black, blocks the light from exposing the paper and will result in white. If you want a positive final print, print a negative onto the transparency film. If you want a negative final print, you should make a positive image on the transparency film. My only warning is I used these for making cyanotypes and the paper is fabulous! But, there's a little bit of a foggy finish on the transparency film but it's not from edge to edge... Maybe a 1/4-1/8 border is not as foggy. So if you were pasting these sheets together to have a larger negative, light will get through the edge of the paper more then the inner print area so just watch out for this, I assume you can cut this away. (I still have to check if this was my printer just printing an entire sheet of gloss or not but that was what I experienced)

Q: 3. Which is best for black and white photography? Warm or Cool tone?

A: Different paper for different subject and printing styles. For more landscape and waterfalls I like cool tone and for profiles and people I like Warm tone.

Q: 4. DOES IT WORK IN INKJET PRINTERS?

A: This will work on SOME larger format inkjet printers. Typical desktop letter size printers would not work well and will damage such a printer.

Q: 5. Is this the thickest transparency film for inkjet printers?

A: Inkpress Media Transparency Film is the thickest transparency film for inkjet printers that B&H carries.

Q: 6. Is this photo paper appropriate for pigment-based inks?

A: Yes, it is compatible.

Q: 7. does this film have bond paper rolled behind it?

A: No, this Inkpress Media Transparency Film for Inkjet - 17" Wide Roll - 100' Long, would not have bond paper behind it.

Q: 8. Is the paper acid free?

A: Inkpress Media Transparency Film (17 x 22", 20 Sheets) (B&H# INTC20) consists of transparent plastic sheets with a coating on them to absorb ink. The types of plastic used for making this type of material are acetate or polyester (PET), each being very mildly acidic.

Q: 9. Can I use this paper with the Epson P800 printer? Is there thicker media than this for photos using Epson P800?

A: Yes, you can.

Q: 10. What is the best way to print the Inkpress Media Rage Warm Tone paper (the 200 weight) in an Epson P600 Printer? Thank you.

A: If you reach out to Inkpress, they have options of ICC profiles they can send you for your printer.

[Matte] In the midst of printing a one-person show, I ran out of the high-end paper I was using and realized that I had two boxes of this Inkpress Warm Rag in my paper cabinet. Ended up printing about half the show on the 17x25 size and used a whole box of 81/2x11 printing up the announcement mailing. This paper is definitely capable of producing outstanding art prints. The colors are reproduce deep and saturated. Ive actually been surprised about how many people have complimented this paper for its feel. Highly recommend.

[Matte] I use this paper with my Canon Pro9000 II printer. Colors and contrast are excellent. I love the warm white color of the paper itself. It measures RGB254 254 254 using an uncalibrated Epson scanner and PS CS2, also uncalibrated, for the measurement. At the moment, I am printing on both sides, making calendars for Christmas. Beautiful! One caveat, though--this paper is said to be tested for permanence by Wilhelm Imaging Research for 100+ years with Epson, Canon, and HP inks, but I think that was with Canon Pigment inks, not the dye inks used in the Pro9000 series.

[20x Sheet Paper] Wonderful printing paper, but hope organic cotton rag is available soon. Printer does have issues grabbing it so have to clean printer often, but good feel and takes colours well.
