A: According to Comprehensive: Extend full 1080p video signal up to 164 feet using 1 CAT6 cable and up to 132 feet using 1 Cat-5e cable. For 150' you will need CAT6.

A: No it can not. it is a point to point system it will not work with routers or network switches.

A: It is not. This is not an HDBase-T product.

A: The Smart-AVI V2V-HDAV HDMI to Composite RCA Downscale with HDMI Loop Output supports up to 60hz. It would not be able to output 240p.

Q: 6. Will this play one input like a blue ray player to output 4 displays is this how this devise works?

A: This product from Smart-AVI is both a Video Wall Controller and a Matrix Switcher. It has 4 inputs and 4 outputs. When used as a Video Wall you can set it so one of the inputs is split across 4 screens set up as a 2x2 Video Wall. As a Matrix Switcher you can assign any input to go to any output. Since this product is HDCP compliant it will work with a Blu-Ray Player as well.

Q: 7. I'm having issues transmitting a 1080i60 signal from a PTZ camera, other transmitters adjust the signal to 1080P which my switcher doesn't like, does this change the resolution and refresh rate as well, or does it deliver the same signal it receives?

A: It will send out whatever signal you put in (within the compatible resolutions): It supports: 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 576p, 576i, 480p, 480i

A: This Smart-AVI product is both a Video Wall Controller and a Matrix Switcher. A Matrix Switcher allows you to send any input to any output. This has 4 inputs and 4 outputs. You can set it to have 1 input go to all 4 outputs or every input to go to a different output.

[165 MHz] Have tried a couple others but mixed results. This one works with everything we plug in. Never worry about it not connecting. We have it at front of church to feed PA booth and another one that feeds projectors. The extra out on the transmitter means we can use signal for a monitor in back as well as big screen in front. Been a BH customer since the days of magazines. Always my first goto. 5

[110-240 VAC] So far so good. We have this installed with 4 of our computers and use this to manage 8 inputs in our virtual studio. Very happy to have this all be managed with one mouse and keyboard! 5

[Automatic] I bought two of these to use in a meeting room so presenters could sit at the conference table and display images and audio from their laptops on large HD displays mounted on the wall. The PC data looks great over an HDMI cable and installation is easy as you only need to run one HDMI cable to the monitor. 5

[150 ft (46 m)] I run an AV installation and rental company, and we have used many products like this one over the last few years. I have found the CHE-1 to be a very cost effective way to transport HDMI over long cat5e/6 runs. We have had only 1 failure of the units weve installed, and our records show we have installed 234 of them at the time I'm writing this. That unit was easily swapped out with no issues. The picture quality is excellent, comparable to 2-wire units costing a lot more. HDMI baluns do not always retain the rich color of the source signal, however it has never been an issue with these units. Excellent color, excellent performance. I find this product to be dependable, fairly priced, and of high quality. Specs: 2 input HDMI ports, with a dip switch to select which you want to use. 150 feet max run We recommend using cat6, if possible, with longer runs. Note: Some reviews complain that this unit is not compatible with an ethernet switch, or router. This is true. However, I will make the statement that just because a device uses a Cat5/6 connector (RJ-45) does not mean it is an ethernet device. Many types of technology use the RJ-45 connector and Cat type cables due to their low cost and ease of installation. This is a balun, not a netwrking device. If you want a networkable HDMI device, you need to check out a 100BASE-T compatible video system. 5

[5 V p-p (TTL)] Worked as advertised. Used for a live concert with a 50 ft run of cat6 cable. Plug and play, no issues. No signal loss or latency issues. Highly recommend 5

[Automatic] I do professional AV installations and have used all Crestron extenders on all my projects previously. Recently I worked with a client on a very tight budget and decided to try this. I was pleasantly surprised at the cost, no issues and synced right up. They use the system every week. 5

[150 ft (46 m)] Worked really well to run hdmi to front of church through the attic. HDMI output on transmitter also let us split to a second monitor in back of church. Didn't use the infrared passthrough so can't comment on that. Very happy with it. 5

[150 ft (46 m)] I have used a number of HDMI over CAT extenders, usually with difficulty. I had my best experience with this one. It worked perfectly the first time I tried it with just one tweak to the skew adjustment. I am using it to duplicate a monitor from a computer and having a HDMI In and a HDMI Out on the transmitter made this very easy. This is going to be my go-to extender in the future. And by the way, the price is also great. 5
