A: I believe it switches seamlessly.

A: Yes, the Blackmagic Design V-Mount Battery Plate for URSA will support and work with the Blackmagic URSA 12K.

Q: 4. Is the D-tap port regulated? Should I avoid powering an external monitor off this?

A: The Dtap output is not regulated. However, There are many cables that will regulate the power to a monitor for device that you connect.

Q: 5. does this plate charge the battery?

A: The plate does not charge the battery, all it does is allow you to be able to mount V-mount batteries onto the Blackmagic URSA. It does have a D-Tap port for accessory power however.

Q: 6. Will the BMD Anton Bauer plate install through / play with their SSD as the V-Mount plate does?

A: Yes.

Q: 7. My charger fan turns on and won't shut off unless I unplug it? Is this normal?

[5.9 x 4 x 1.55"] It took me about 2 min to install. A V-mount battery system is a must have on set. It allows for long run times without plugging in and gives you valuable D-tap outlet's for peripheral devises. One battery to change for your whole rig. A nice surprise was the D-tap port on the side of the plate. 5

[0.465 lb] I used this on my Blackmagic URSA mini 4.6k for my first DP gig on a film. And it fit and worked amazingly. Easy to install and it was just perfect. No negative comment. I love it. And NO MORE POWER CORD! Awesome 5
