The silver, FUJIFILM X-mount Rokinon 8mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens for FUJIFILMis a prime fisheye lens specifically designed for APS-C sized image sensors. Providing a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 12mm and full 180° angle of view, this lens is well-suited for creative applications as well as interior and architectural subjects. Its fast f/2.8 maximum aperture is further beneficial to working in low-light conditions.

180° fisheye lens provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length of 12mm, making it ideally suited for interior and architectural subjects.

Fast f/2.8 maximum aperture benefits working in low-light conditions.

Three extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements reduce chromatic aberrations and distortions in order to produce sharper images.

UMC coating improves light transmission and suppresses lens flare and ghosting for more contrast-rich, color-neutral images.

Built-in lens hood also helps to reduce lens flare and surface reflections.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it compatible with the Canon EOS M6 Mark ii camera?

A: Yes, this lens is compatible with the M6 Mark II.

Q: 2. it is made of plastic ?

A: The lens is mostly metal. It is a solid well made lens. The focus ring is a bit stiff but you don't need to do much focussing.

Q: 3. Will this work with a Canon EOS T6i?

A: Nope it only fits on mirrorless mounts, this particular one fits on the canon ef-m mount that is smaller than canons normal DSLR EF-S or EF mount. I'm 80% sure there aren't any adapters available either. Luckily, there are lots more lenses available for cameras like the T6i, so it should be easy to find a cheap, good quality fish eye that works with that particular mount.

Q: 4. How to attach filter to it?

A: There isn't a way to apply a filter to this lens. You would need to handhold one in front.

Q: 5. Will this work on a Canon Rebel T7i?

A: Unfortunately not as this lens is not designed for EF and EF-S mount cameras.

Q: 6. Should I buy this or the Sony 16mm with fisheye and/or ultra-wide adapter? I already have the Sony combo, but want to do stereoscopic photography so need one more ultra-wide setup.

A: If I was looking for something more ultra wide I'd go with 16mm or even 12mm. This lens is very fisheyed and distorted, so it depends how much width you'd want in your photos, but this is very wide and creates a fisheye look if that is what you want.

Q: 7. Can I use this lens on a Canon SL1?

A: No, they are not compatible.

Q: 8. how to use filter or holder for this lens?

A: The hood is built in. Lens is not threaded and not really able to attach filter or holder.

Q: 9. Does this lense work with the GH4?

A: Not on its own. You would need an adapter to convert the Sony E mount to a micro four thirds.

Q: 10. Is the rokinon 8mm f/2.8 UMC Fisheye II compatible with the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II?

A: The Rokinon 8mm f/3.5 UMC Fisheye CS II Lens for Micro Four Thirds Mount B&H # RO835M43HD MFR # HD8M-MFT would be a compatible lens. https://bhpho.to/2WLmk2w

[f/2.8] I got this to round out the lenses I needed to go with my new Fuji X-T1 system. I already had the Canon 15mm fisheye, but like many others, have decided to move from my Canon 5D MK3 system and my Nikon D800 system, in favor of the smaller Fuji X series. I made this decision after testing the X100S and seeing how wonderful the digital files were .... as good or better than my MK3 and almost as good as my D800 files. Anyways, this new 8mm fisheye is very sharp. Again, maybe a bit soft at the edges wide open, but I have mine basically set to about 1 meter and F8, for my architectural photography, and never have to really focus! It is very compact ... actually smaller than the Fujinon 18-55. A great lens at an even better price. Doesn't really need to be AF.

[0.95 lb] I wanted to get a fisheye lens for my cannon mirrorless EM50 - a pricey proposition which can end up over a $1000; more like $1,500. I knew that there might be the possibility of a third party lens which would require me to work in manual mode - but that wasn't going to be a problem for me. It would just involve doing a bit of homework on how to make it happen.

The tricky thing is that you need to go to manual mode in order to find the correct setting it won't show up in the other setting modes.

Then in the camera menu go to Custom Functions and under CF II there is a choice for shutter release when no lens is attached - you want to enable that option and then you should be able to make the lens work.

You can still set ISO and shutter speed - the f-stop is set via the lens.

[Manual Focus] Had the rokinon 8mm f3.5 lens and it wasnt nearly as sharp as i had hoped, this 8mm f2.8 lens is what id hoped for. Found that at f5.6 to f8 focused between a meter and infinity its sharp close and far. very nice depth and very nice color as well, have found very little need to tweak images ive taken with this lens and my Sony A6300. It is manual focus and aperture, but with such a wide latitude of focus you will rarely miss AF.

[Manual Focus] Not for everyone and used only sometimes. Small, light, sharp. Easy to focus since DOF is enormous even at f2.8. Worth every penny.
