A: This lens works great on a D750/D850. The AE chip does not negatively impact the camera, it's mainly for the camera to confirm focus through the viewfinder and provides auto exposure info so that you are able to use the camera on P/S/A/M more effectively.

Q: 3. Does the Rokinon 12mm/2.8 for Pentax K mount have camera-actuated aperture, like the Rokinon 14mm/2.8 K mount (as opposed to simple manual control)?

A: The short answer is yes. On my Pentax K1 the Rokinon 12mm fisheye supports aperture priority. Set the lens aperture ring to A . Set the Exposure mode to AV . The aperture can now be set with the rear thumb wheel on the camera. You will note that the shutter speed will change accordingly. If you require a particular aperture but speed is too low (slow) you will need to up the ISO setting. When you press the shutter the lens will be closed down to the selected aperture setting before the shutter is opened. From memory I think all this is described in the lens packaged lens instructions.

A: I have a Nikon D3200 and this lens is on my camera right now. It is a manual focus lens, but it has a CPU chip. You need to set the lens for the smallest f/stop, f/22 and leave it there . After that, you can use P/S/A/M modes just as you would with any lens. The camera will change the f/stop and shutter speed for correct exposure in P mode; will change the f/stop and you specify the shutter speed in S mode, and it will use the f/stop you select and adjust the shutter speed in A mode. It's a great lens. I also have the Sigma 15mm f/2.8 fisheye which has autofocus, as well, but that lens does not have a built-in AF motor and so won't autofocus on the D3200. So, functionally, the Sigma and the Rokinon are the same, and this one costs a bit less.

A: I have been making great use of this lens on my mkii and iii. I got it especially for live music/concert/club situations. In the extreme lighting conditions I shoot in vignette has not been something i've noticed. The manual focus and manual aperture situation is not at all a problem.

A: Rokinon's lenses are quite sharp and I love them. As long as you don't mind the manual focus. I don't know how close you can go to the subject, the Fisheye will distort the view, you may want to look for a macro lense instead? I use this lens mainly for wide landscape picture and I am always amazed how much space this lens can capture. I hope this helps!
