The 19mm/15mm studio Wooden Camera Universal Lens Support 19mm/15mmfrom Wooden Camera Universal Lens Support 19mm/15mmis designed to support heavy lenses with rigs using either 19mm or 15mm studio offset rod configurations. It includes a 1/4"-20 screw cap for attaching to tripod collars and select cinema lenses, a 3/8"-16 cap for attaching to cinema lenses with a standard ARRI support foot, and a Y-bracket with rubber rollers designed for use DSLR type lenses that lack a support foot.

The lens support clamps onto 19mm or 15mm studio offset rods using thumbwheels found at the side of each rod port. To align the lens support, a thumbscrew is loosened which allows you to slide the tightening knob to the desired position. Extra lateral room is provided to help accommodate for skewed baseplates. The tightening knob also offers vertical adjustment to accommodate lenses of different heights. For smaller lenses, small and large support extensions are included.

[7.3 oz (208 g)] There is really not much of a learning curve here. You simply slide the center piece in, slide the whole assembly on your rails, raise the center piece to your desired height and lock it down. That's it. It is sturdy and does not wobble. Being both 19mm and 15mm compatible makes it even more useful and versatile. 5

[7.3 oz (208 g)] We use these with our Canon 15-120 and 25-250, and they work GREAT. We actually prefer them to more expensive models from other makers because they are lower profile, which means you can set down the camera on a flat surface without it tipping over. The included extension adapters are also wonderful to build it up to the lens without extra rod sticking out the bottom (which again would let the camera tip over) - others charge $50+ for these. 5

[0.455 lb] A "professional" lens support with many included height adjustment options without the hefty Arri price. The only downside - the Base Extension is not captive in the Universal Lens Support, so if not attached to the Rolling Bracket or an Extension Post, the Base Extension can fall out of the lens support. The package includes: 3/8 Extension Post x 2 1-3/8" Extension Post x 1 11/16" Extension Post x 1 Rolling Bracket, from base to top of roller is " tall. Rolling Bracket cradle width, from outer edge of each roller is 1-3/4 Rolling Bracket depth at the roller is 7/16 Universal Lens Support is " from top of rod to top of support. 5

[0.455 lb] This is more than twice the price of other supports like the Tilta (which in my opinion looks very similar). The difference is that works with every lens in my kit or that I can imagine renting due to the set of included posts. Everything fits exactly, there are instructional videos for most of their products and their tech support is second to none. 5

[0.455 lb] This is one of the best and most versatile supports on the market. Managing lens changes and all the ways you have to lock them down to exist in a full cine workflow can be a chore. Having a support that is not only well made but has a design that allows it to be a solid option for both 19 and 15mm rod standards AND having accessories and configurations that allow photo and cine lenses of any size that I have thrown at it, is VERY valuable. 5
