Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hello! Will this work on a Canon R?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the EOS R.

Q: 2. I have a Canon T5i and was planning on purchasing 4 Yongnuo YN-560 IV speedlights for off camera use. Will these triggers be able to sync and fire these speedlights wirelessly? Or would you suggest simply getting the YN-560 TX transmitter for larger number of flashes being used to shoot?

A: These triggers will serve your intended purpose of triggering the flashes, but that's all they'll do. You'd have to walk around to each flash individually to adjust the output on the unit. I don't use Yongnuo flashes (use Canon 580EX-II & 600EX Speedlites), but it looks like the Yongnuo 560s are manual only (no ETTL), so if you went the 560-TX route you would be able to adjust the manual power output of each flash on camera via the 560-TX, as well as be able to group them. I am using the YN-622TX's along with YN-622C's for my wireless flash needs. I use the 603C's solely for shutter activation on remote camera setups. Hope this helps.

Q: 3. Hi, I bought the triggers Yongnuo RF603 C II and will not work on the compact Power Shot Canon G15? I've tried various options, and they will not. It works normally on the dSLR Canon 60D, but i've bought them the most for working with the compact !?

A: Unfortunately, point and shoot cameras such as the Canon G15 are not compatible with third party triggers such as this. The hot shoe on that camera is limited to use with a Canon speedlite only.

Q: 4. Will this work with my AB400?

A: I use an olympus Pen 7 camera and these work fine with it. Any flash with a hot shoe will fire using these. I have found that the receivers really need to be in the line of site of the transmitter.

Q: 5. Will this work on a canon 5D Mark ii?

A: The above kit would work for triggering your flash, but would not work for use as a wireless trigger as the above is for Canon cameras that use the E3 2.5mm sub-miniphone remote terminal, while the Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR camera uses the Canon N3 3-pin remote terminal. As such, the Yongnuo RF-603C II Wireless Flash Trigger Kit for Canon 3-Pin Connection, B&H # YORF603IIC3, would instead be the correct item for your needs.

Q: 6. Can I use it with Canon 5D Marka IV to trigger a Yognuo flash and/or to release the shutter?

A: Depending on the flash the receiver may be built in. Yes this can be a shutter release.

Q: 7. Would this be a good trigger for Canon 70D and 60D?

A: It a good reliable trigger. Keep in mind it dosent have ttl so you will have to go to the flash if you want to make any ajustments.

Q: 8. I have a Canon 5D Mark III, and plan on using four Yongnuo YN-560 III speedlights off-camera. Will these triggers be able to release the shutter AND fire the speedlights wirelessly?

A: I also have the 5D Mark III and I use the Yongnuo YN-560 III to fire my speedlites it does a great job, there are limitations but easily worked around. I have also used this to fire my Alien Bees and remote for my Canon 7D. These are worth every penny

Q: 9. Will this work with the canon t3i? If not what can(w/ the YN560-III flash)

A: For the Canon T3i, you would need the kit with the Sub-mini (2.5mm) connection.

Q: 10. I am using the Yongnuo RF-603C II Wireless Flash Trigger Kit with my Canon 5d Mark iii as a shutter release/flash trigger. I have one unit in the camera's hot shoe with the sync cord running from it to the three pin shutter release connector on the camera. The second unit is attached to my Canon 600EX-RT speedlight. This works as expected, however, I cannot call up anything on my LCD while the Yongnuo is connected. No menus, no previews, nothing. Does anyone have any idea what causes this and how to fix it? THX

A: That is normal with the RF-603CII

[2.4 GHz] Easy to start using them right away. I needed a hot shoe/tripod adapter to use them with my setup.

[16] Small, light, east to use, and such a good price. I almost wish I had ordered 2 more, because I now realize the potential of a multi-flash setup. You can even use them as a remote trigger for your camera. Very versatile product. I was shooting northern lights and used a flash to light up a church in the foreground. With a 30 second exposure, the flash went off a few times (not sure why), so I simply removed the trigger from my hotshoe and just fired it once during the long exposure and it worked fine. That also allowed me to move the flash during the exposure to better light the building. I also made a multiple exposure effect by zooming in a bit, firing the flash off again, and repeating. Neat effect.

[2x AAA] After years of only shooting with a flash mounted on the camera - and often being frustrated by the technical and creative limitations of not having the option to move it off camera - I finally decided I needed a wireless option and found these Yongnuo flash triggers were available, for a very good price. Super easy to use, just flick the (tiny) switches in the battery compartment to the same channel and they're ready to go. After four months of use, they have not let me down once. The flash fires every time and I doubt most people would ever reach the limits of the range in normal shooting - works great even from several rooms away. And plugging in the included cable turns it into a remote shutter release which is quite handy. It's great to have the camera on a tripod and have the flash in your hand and move it around freely while taking shots to quickly get lots of different lighting looks. The shutter release feature can also be used with no flashes involved. All in all, an essential accessory if you have a flash unit and are wanting to get it off the camera body without spending tons of cash. I have not encountered any problems with it yet and will probably be buying another pair in the future so multiple flashes can be added to the mix.

[16] Worked right out of the box. Instructions are a bit confusing regarding the use of the TX vs TX/RX modes but a few seconds spent with the product will reveal that TX/RX mode on both devices is the only mode that is needed.

[0.35 lb] I use the YN603C II triggers in combination with three YN560 III flashes and the YN560 TX remote. This combination allows me to easily adjust strobes in inaccessible locations and trigger them from three different locations. Most recently I have used this light system to photograph ice climbers at night, in temperatures as low as -5 F. The system works perfectly even in these conditions. Bombproof product, Great value!

[2x AAA] This is my second set of Yongnuo transceivers. After being tossed about for four years and noticing a few Moses now and then, I worried that I didn’t have a backup system so I purchased the same set again. They work great with my Canon 6D and now with the shutter trigger cord (3 pin) included in the Serb of two transceivers, I have an extra cord as well. Takes up so little space in my bag! They are very light. I have one transceiver in the hot shoe of the camera and the other around my neck on an old lanyard I found. This enables me to step out of the room to trigger my Yongnuo RF flashes (560 III and IV) to shoot interiors without self-photobombing in any mirrors. Great for photographing small bathrooms.

[16] I was looking for a trigger fo the canon 5d mark II. The price was excellent and most importantly worked like a charm. A trigger by another manufacturer was continually breaking.
