When the Siros is connected to a Wi-Fi network, each light can be identified by a different-color LED and can be easily controlled using the bronControl app for smartphones and tablets

With the integrated Broncolor RFS 2.1 receiver, users can use the RFS 2.1 transmitter for remote control from the camera

Cut-off technology uses a microprocessor to calculate the flash duration to an output, enabling sequences with up to 50 flashes per second

Enhanced Color Temperature Control technology adapts flash voltage and duration in order to achieve a constant color temperature over the entire variation range

Individual power distribution means the unit has controllers for each lamp in order to have greater control over the flash power range

Speed mode reduces flash duration and charging time while reducing the maximum power in order to achieve a series of rapid exposures without overheating

Single rotary control for flash power output setting, a slight turn provides 1/10 stops while a "Twist" function allows for whole stops

Internal discharge when power is reduced

Grip features double-wall plastic with a special coating for durability and comfort

Aluminum stand adapter can be used with the handle to function as a built-in floor stand

Standard sync port and built-in photocell are available for more elaborate triggering setups

Black aluminum body construction

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. According to the Specs, this monolight's power ranges from 4 to 800 Ws. I would like to buy the 2-light kit for use in a small home studio (600 sq ft) for product photography. I would like powerful lights that can be dialed down to low light output when needed. Can this powerful monolight also be used for low light photography? Thanks in advance.

A: While the power range could work for shooting products, it all depends on the size of your space and the type of products you will be shooting. One thing to keep in mind is that any modifiers used over the monolights can further reduce the output.

Q: 2. I Have Grafit powerpack and various J and unilght heads as well as boxlights and pulsospot4. I prefer monobloc heads. Looks like my studio needs will be met nicely by the Siros L 800’s. My question is do these integrate well with the standard powerpack systems of Broncolor like my Grafit and heads? Ie: color temp and output the same? Fast flash duration settings like 1/7000sec t.1? Modifiers all fit same bayonet mounts? iOS app control, is there a way to include my older pack system?

A: The Broncolor Siros 800 S would have a flash duration of 1/4000 at t.1 and would accept all Pulso/Primo type modifiers. While they can be triggered optically from your current Broncolor pack/head system, you cannot trigger your pack/head system using the bronCONTROL App.

Q: 3. I have a Fujifilm GFX. No issue with camera sync speed with a regular trigger. However, I want to use the HSS feature. Godox released a new trigger for Fujifilm: https://a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1348942-REG/godox_x1t_f_remote_controler_transmter_from.html target= _blank www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1348942-REG/godox_x1t_f_remote_controler_transmter_from.html/a Can someone from Broncolor confirm that they are compatible?

A: HiDon't think it will work. My buddy has a Godox trigger and we tried to make it work but no luck. Though broncolor gets them from the same manufacturer , they are not compatible with each other :/.

Q: 4. Hello all, Does any one know what is needed to achieve successful HSS shooting using a Pentax 645Z with this monolight? Aside from swapping in a longer burning bulb, are there any other required firmware/hardware considerations? Anyone having real world on-location experience using hss this light, please tell what you know.I looked at the Profoto B1 option (lower power; no hss provision for Pentax 645), but prefer the Bron., even if I have to bring my own power on location. Thanks everyone in advance!

A: At this time there is no system that allows the Pentax 645Z work in HSS.

Q: 5. Would I need to change the modeling light in case of 230VAC/60Hz use?

A: If using the original modeling lamp (part number B-24.260.00) the modeling lamp does not need to be changed when using 230V AC. If a third-party lamp has been substituted, we recommend changing to the broncolor lamp before using higher voltages.

Q: 6. can you synchronize with other transmitters to make it work together with other flashes?

A: To sync with other transmitter systems, Siros 800S features a standard 3.5mm sync input on the bottom of the unit. Using the appropriate receiver unit and adapter cable, this would allow for the Siros to work with other systems.

Q: 7. Can this light be used outdoor? Or only indoor?

A: Siros S is AC only. For a battery version the Siros L is a option.

Q: 8. Is this enough to light a 120 x 180 cm Softbox?

A: Yes. More than enough power to illuminate a 120x180 cm.

Q: 9. Are those monolights compatible with Pocket Wizards Plus II transmitters?

A: Yes, to synchronize a Pocket Wizard unit with the Siros, simply connect a receiving unit to the Siros' sync port via a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable from the Wizard to the Siros. There is no built-in receiver for the Pocket Wizard products though.

Q: 10. So the 2 kit and 3 kits does not come with any trigger?

A: Correct, kits are sold without RFS2.1 / 2.2 transmitters, giving you the option to select either a universal or camera platform specific version.

[10.9 lb] By far the best light Ive worked with (compared to Hensel and Profoto). The light quality and consistency is unmatchable.
The only downside to Broncolor is the way you attached the modifiers, however thats something you get used to pretty quick.

[1/8000 Sec] First and foremost, if you’re looking for the best. Look no further. Broncolor hands down. 2x 400 watts is more than enough to take over the sun here in sunny South Florida. And I shoot with 5D Mark IV and EOS R.
I originally was using duo Profoto B10’s. But they just do not compare. The bronControl app is amazing. The Siros lights come with a usb to enable you to update their firmware. When doing film or LARGE SCALE creative photography I use both broncolor and Profoto. I attach the Profoto trigger right on top of the RFS 2.2 and it’s just INCREDIBLE.

What I’m upset with is, this set is costly no matter who the photographer is. When it comes to me. I expect it to look like the money I spent. When I went to pick up the set from my local fedex office. They were complaining and I agree and see why. The box looked like garbage. Literally. I’m surprised the units weren’t broken and thank goodness they weren’t because I could’ve missed out on a magnificent product. B&H HANDLE THINGS WITH CARE. PLEASE.

[Yes] Best lights I've ever worked with and I've worked with a lot

[Yes] Perfect monolight strobe, compact, constant colors at all times, 9 f-stops, very intuitive to use, from 1/1000 (800 J) to 1/19000 s (3 J). I have two 800s and one 400s + an external DC/AC battery for outdoor shooting. Considering my needs (studio + outdoor shooting), it is a far much better versatile combinaison and reasonably priced choice than to having one Move 1200 with only 2 heads (as far you do not need 1200 J on one head or need something very compact-packed). And there is no compromission with the global performance.
