A: No. wedges are sold separately.

A: The boom clamp (grip head) for this arm can be separated from the arm. While it can fit tube diameters from 0.5-0.75”, it is best used with this particular arm.

Q: 3. Which Avenger extension arms fit this grip? Which of them are the best and heavy duty?

A: This grip head is meant to convert a stand with a junior receiver to accept an overhead butterfly frame.

A: With the mini-grip moved all the way up to the rubber handle, the maximum possible distance between the reflector clamps measures about 65 on the one I have.

Q: 8. I made the mistake of purchasing a cheaper alternative and the grip head wiggles on the clamp. Is this an issue with these too?

A: When the grip head is tighten down on the Avenger D230 Super Clamp Grip Head (Black) it does not move. It is very well made.

Q: 9. Can the junior pin be removed?

A: Yes it is.

Q: 10. Does the D400 use aluminum break disk like Matthews? Or does it have the cheaper rubber disk on the more budget brands?

A: Avenger uses cork for the material of the disk in the Avenger D400 4.5" Grip Head with Junior Pin.

[Single Grip] You'll probably find you need more of these than you think. Buy one more than you were planning to and you'll probably be OK. They are fundamental to the Avenger (& others) grip systems. These are as good as any and better than most. 5

[2.975 lb] I've purchased several of these for my C-Stand kit. I really like the feel of the rubber grip head and the item feels sturdy. It was nice saving some money over more premium brands and I've had no problems in the field. That said, I had one D200 arrive defective but big thanks to Avenger's customer service for sending me a replacement. 5

[Aluminum] I bought these to actually go on some traditional large light stands as not always practical to have a large army of C stands when I really just need a flag held at waist height. Works great. 5
