Each board is 0.125" thick, and made of bleached virgin fibers which are acid and lignin free.

Lineco employs alkaline buffering in their manufacturing processes to improve archival protection from acidic contamination. This buffering is accomplished with a 3% calcium carbonate reserve infused in all three layers.

A: No these are not pre-cut meaning they do not have a window for a print. This is a pack of mat boards cut to fit 8 x 10 frames so those are the outer dimensions of the mat sheet itself and you can cut whatever size opening you need for prints if desired.

A: These boards can be cut depending on the application.

A: Unfortunately no, the Lineco Self-Sealing Photo / Art Bag (22 x 28", 25-Pack) is only for storing an unmounted print.

A: Hi Brittany -- I use this for mounting traditional photos. It is not rigid, it will bend, but it is solid enough to support your prints as long as you mat and frame them. I wouldn't use it for mounting prints without a mat.Hope this helps.Russ

A: Its the size of the whole board. There are no windows.

Q: 8. Can these be used with a dry mounting press?

A: Yes the Lineco Conservation Mat Board Black can be used in a dry mount press.

Q: 9. What does 2 ply mean

A: it means thickness - the more plys the thicker and stronger (more firm) the matt - 2 ply is very good - 4 ply is better but a lot more expensive - never had an issue with 2 ply

Q: 10. Can you tell me the thickness of these boards? Looking for 1/2" thickness. And are they self adhesive on 1 side?
