The Pentax 10x30 A-Series Waterproof Binocularsdeliver bright clear images without being over sized or cumbersome owing to their anti-reflection fully multicoated 30mm objectives which maximize light transmission to produce the brightest views possible. Utilizing traditional porro prisms produce scenes with a rich depth of view over similarly sized roof prisms with the added benefit of a larger surface area to give them a comfortable feel in the hand.

In order to cut weight, the housing is made of corrosion and impact-resistant fiberglass reinforced polycarbonate polymer. The material is also temperature-resistant allowing for their use in extreme climates while reducing expansion and contraction wide temperature swings can cause which can make the optical components move out of collimation over time. Their optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed so they can are submersible to 3.3', as well as fogproof in all weather conditions.

A: Unfortunately the 10X30 model does not. My sincere apologies. The only Models that have this as an option are the 10X42 L IS, 15X50, and 18X50.

A: The Pentax 8x40 S-Series SP Binoculars BH #PE8X40SP • MFR #65902 are not fog or waterproof.

Q: 5. Is there a third party rain guard that fits these binoculars?

A: Sorry there is no third party rain guard for the Canon 10x30 IS II Image Stabilized Binoculars BH #CA10X302 • MFR #9525B002 that B&H carries.

Q: 6. Will the binoculars work if the IS batteries go flat. What type of batteries ?

A: This question arrives at an opportune time. We're on the west coast, birding. I love these binoculars for birding. To answer your questions, runs on two AA batteries. Binocs work without batteries, but the stabilization mechanism does not work without the batteries. The stabilization mechanism is one of the desired features of these binocs. We're thinking about buying a second pair, since we both want to use these binocs.

A: Diopter Adjustment -3 to +3 on the right eyepiece only.

Q: 10. What is the difference between the SP and SP WP version of the same binoculars ?

A: The SP Version has a wider angle of view with the same Magnification as the SP WP. Plus the SP has a Eye Relief of 13mm, and the SP WP has a much more comfortable Eye relief of 20mm.

[18.8 mm] I got some of these for Christmas a while back and love them for backyard and across-the field-birding. My spouse kept borrowing them for her own use even though she had another set (different brand). Guess who just got a pair of her own Pentax binocs for her birthday! It was kind of a selfish gift on my part... 5

[30 mm] Ordered 2 binoculars for people that have not used binoculars much. They were able to find the wildlife quickly and keep the binocs focused to their eyes, Product arrived quickly and was exactly as advertised. Seems like decent value. 5

[1.505 lb] I would easily pay 2-3x for such great quality. The focuser is tight, they are the perfect weight with a huge field of vision for 12x binoculars at 5.6 degrees. The fully multi coated lenses give great detail and contrast and they are built well. 5

[Porro] I found these binoculars to be better than I expected, after previously reading a few online reviews by pundits. The image is sharp and bright, which may be attributed to the traditional placement of the porro prisms. My only complaint is that the protective rubber cups for the eyepieces and objectives do not fit very well and fall off easily. However, these binoculars are light and comfortable in my hands, with a very good build. 5
