A: Yea it holds it fine, plus the velcro surrounds half the flash keeping it a little more secure. I thin you can use it with strobes. Clay Cook, and Annie Leibovitz both use them, and they use strobes.

Q: 5. How come this umbrella has 8mm and 7mm shafts while another Photek at the same size only has the 8mm shaft? I understand the shaft can be removed after the umbrella is set-up, but just don't understand why there are 2 sizes?

A: Some flash like Elinchrom require the smaller 7mm. 8mm is standard.

Q: 6. I want to emulate a huge soft window light. Is one 600ex-rt sufficient to power this 60 version or do I need multiple speedlites? If so, any recommended tri brackets? Thx!

A: I use one 430EX and it works great.

A: This umbrella is 7 feet across or 84”. While this model only comes in a 7 ft size, the Photoflex 72" Shoot Through Umbrella B&H # PHU72ST would be closest to 6 ft.

Q: 9. Is the diffuser attaches to the umbrella with velcro? I think I saw that in a youtube video, but I don't see any velcro on the outside of the umbrella on the product photos. So is there something to hold the diffuser, or only the corners of the umbrella holds the diffuser on it?

A: The diffusion is held in place by the grommets and the umbrella ribs.

Q: 10. Which diffuser set up is needed to use the Softlighter with a Godox AD200?

A: The softlighter comes with a diffusion panel. The AD200 has an umbrella shaft receiver as part of its stand mount. No 'diffusion set up' needed.
