Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I want a backpack bag for my Nikon Z6 with 100-400 lens with an FTD extender. Will it fit? And will velcro dividers from another bag adhere to the sides?

A: While the Overboard Pro-Sports Waterproof SLR Camera Bag can hold your Nikon Z6, an FTZ adapter and the 100-400mm lens, it cannot accept velcro dividers from another bag that would adhere to the sides.

Q: 2. Is it possible to use velcro dividers from another camera bag to make compartments for camera, lenses and other parts?

A: The Ultralight Pro-Sports Waterproof Backpack from Overboard can handle camera inserts bags to divide your gear.

Q: 3. What would be a good fit insert dividers for this?

A: Peak Design Travel Camera Cube (Large) BH #PEBCCLBK1 will work as an insert.

Q: 4. What is the IP # for this bag?

A: The overboard pro sport offers a IP rating of ip66.

Q: 5. Will this bag fit a Canon R6 and an EF adaptor with the 100-400 Canon lens?

A: Yes, a Canon EOS R6 equipped with an EF-R adapter and the EF 100-400mm lens can fit in this Overboard Waterproof Dry Flat Bag.

Q: 6. I want a compact holster type bag for a Nikon D7100 with the Tamron 150-600mm with hood attached. I measured it to be 16.5 all together in length. Will this bag work? I already purchased a bag that reviews said would work and it is not even close so would like to get it right this time.

A: No. I use the bag on kayak trips for a Canon 5D Mark III and Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L USM lens. The setup is 13 long and fills the bag. Anything longer would not allow you to sufficiently roll down the top of the bag--not worth the risk to your equipment.

Q: 7. What are the ID and OD?

A: id is interior dimensions and od outer dimensions this bag worked VERY well for me when I went up to within 580 of North Pole with it - a good product

Q: 8. Hi, I am interested in this bag as a camera/day bag. I have a Nikon D700 with either a 28-105 or 24-70 2.8 lens. I was wondering how much space is left over after the camera is in the bag? It is hard to get an accurate idea of space solely by volume in liters due to the necessity of rolling the top as well as the foam padding. A review video or pictures of this in action would be perfect. If not, if someone would be able to let me know if this bag would hold other items as well as my camera. Thanks!

A: This camera bag is open inside without any kind of dividers, and the amount of space that remains is dependent on which lens you choose to attach to the camera. Generally speaking, the Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 and D700 body will take up all of the depth of this bag, as this combination is eight inches long, and this bag's depth is about the same measurement.

Q: 9. Would the Peak Design Travel Camera Cube Large (BH #PEBCCLBK1) fit inside this backpack?

A: No, the OverBoard Pro-Sports Waterproof Backpack (30L, Red) is too small for the Peak Design Travel Camera Cube (Large).

Q: 10. What is the interior configuration of this backpack? Does it have dividers similar to a typical camera storage bag?

A: The OverBoard Ultra-Light Pro-Sports Waterproof Backpack (Black, 30L) has one large main opening and a separate zippered compartment designed for keys, wallets, or other items. There are no other dividers inside the waterproof backpack.

[Yes] Bought it after tried several different ones.

This is the best manufactured with the best quality ever.

Highly recommended.

[3.15 lb] This is a solidly made dry bag at a very reasonable price, and it's a fairly comfortable carry as well. I customized mine with a layer of foam on the bottom -- easy and cheap. I'm much more comfortable having my gear in this than in a water-resistant camera pack when I'm out on the water.

[3.15 lb] Took this to Antarctica to carry camera gear on wet Zodiac boat expeditions. Worked like a charm.

[Red] This quickly replaced all my other bags and I really love all the extra room and customization options.

[3.15 lb] worked fine. Could probably have used the next smaller bag for my Canon 6D and Tamron 150-600 lens. Never dumped it, but it was air tight.

[3.15 lb] I used this in hiking the Zion narrows and fortunately did not have to test it out. But it's nice to know that had taken a dip my D800E would've stayed dry. It was wrapped in a towel so even if there was a slight leak it would've been protected. When I sealed it up it appeared that a temporary plunge would not have resulted in much, if any water in the bag.

[3.15 lb] I bought this in preparation for a hike up the Narrows in Zion National Park, which, as most know, is essentially walking in a river. I was very nervous about taking my 5DSr and 24-105 on the hike, so decided to use this. Once it arrived, I was feeling good about the water protection, but was unsure if the hassle of opening and closing it would preclude me from using my camera anyway.

While I cannot speak to what happens upon total immersion (fortunately, I did not 'swim' at all on the hike), I ended up with an absolutely dry camera, plus all my other items I placed in the bag. Furthermore, I found in practice that the opening and sealing of the bag is actually a very quick procedure once you get that hang of it. I now feel like I have a totally safe bag to take my camera on many excursions where I might have worried before (small boats, any water related activities, etc.)

One last comment - it is also important to realize what this bag is not. It is not a typical camera bag, as it has no compartments of any kind inside. It is a just a bare, waterproof bag, configured as a pack. They make 3 sizes, and the 30L model I got is plenty big enough to put lots of stuff in, but you have to figure out how to organize the stuff inside the bag to be both safe and accessible for your needs. But if you want a way to comfortably carry gear around water without worrying about it getting wet (short of swimming) this bag deserves a look. I love mine.

[3.15 lb] Excellent dry backpack or just as a dry bag. I use it as a dry bag while kayaking. It makes it a lot easier to carry my gear and tote my kayak at the same time to launch.
It easily holds my Nikon Z9, 500pf, 70-200. With room for some other gear. I leave it between my legs and can quickly get my camera in or out for shooting.
I'm very happy with this purchase.

[3.15 lb] I used this dry bag to protect my OM-1 and lens while kayaking in Lake Superior. I wasn't worried about a few splashes but the bag could sit in the (very wet) bottom of the kayak in front of me and hold the camera and lens safely when not being used. Also for peace of mind in case my poor kayaking skills proved problematic.

[3.15 lb] I need a waterproof backpack for an upcoming trip. This will hold all my optical gear, fit in the overhead, and come in under the 18lbs allotted weight limit.

It’s a little tight, and a have a cloth or two to provide protection between cameras, but I trust it to do the job.
