I use these to protect the MI shoe for my Sony HVL-F60RM2 flash and Sony ECM-B10 microphone. Although the price seems absurd when considering the amount of material, I am keen to protect the my gear: the Sony ECM-B10 will ONLY output via the MI shoe! 5

Not all accessories come with a foot protector and it's easy to misplace the protector on those that do. Having spare MIS foot protectors in a know place eliminates this problem and keeps your contacts covered. 5

Unsurprisingly I lost mine in the first week. This was a perfect replacement. I do feel that for such a small piece of plastic $4.99 is maybe a bit much, but I do understand that what it protects is much more valuable. 5

I wish I could stop losing these, I always misplace them. The Sony contact points design are critical to keep them clean. When I lose a cover, I need a new one. 5
