I'm just wondering why it's setup that way (maybe just to make it similar to existing GoPro mounts?

[0.2 lb] I just go the charger and plates, my bad for not ordering the correct plates. they are inexpensive and I can afford the $8 for a couple of new ones. It plainly says hero 2 but I have a 5. So far I love the charger 5

[0.2 lb] I use these adapters in my Watson chargers. It's an awesome way to charge the batteries from multiple devices..and the price is right! I currently have the capability to charge 2 different types of Canon batteries, my Nikon, my JVC, and now my GoPro cameras. 5

[0.2 lb] I use the Watson (previously Pearstone)dual charger and charging plates to keep my different camera batteries charged (GoPro Hero2, GoPro Hero3, Contour, Canon). The 12v charger works great with the Anker Astro External/Portable battery so I can recharge my batteries when I'm away from power. 5

[0.2 lb] A while back I purchased the bundle from B&H, which included the Ikan Fly X-3 gimbal and the Removu remote/viewer. The original Fly X-3 seems to be primarily designed as a smart-phone gimbal, although it can handle a GoPro. As what seems like an after-thought, Ikan included a very chinsey foam GoPro adapter with the gimbal. The problem with this adapter is that it is almost impossible to not accidentally press the wifi and shutter buttons on the GoPro while trying to balance and mount it into the clamp of the Fly-X3. The GoPro doesn't feel very protected, and it looks silly using this rediculous foam piece. I noticed that there is a new version of the gimbal available (Fly X3-plus) which is considerably more expensive than the original X3 (I have not used it so I cannot do a side-by-side comparison, I'm assuming it is better/more powerful). I purchased this clamp/adapter to use with my existing X3, and on my initial tests it seems to be a huge improvement over the cheapo foam piece of junk that came with the X3. I really enjoy the X3, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it with the caveat that you buy this adapter if you are planning to use the X3 with a GoPro (better yet buy the combo from B&H and get the Removu included). It does add a little bit of weight, but the X3 seems to be able to handle it just fine (and I feel like the GoPro is better protected using this little adapter). I would definitely recommend this product. 5
