Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I buy additional receiver to pair up and have a total connections of 3 receivers to 1 transmitter?

A: Yes. multiple receivers may be used with a single transmitter. Frequency Presets There are 10 presets available for programming in the IFBR1B. The stored frequencies remain in memory during power OFF and even with the battery removed. Use the UP and DOWN arrows to scroll through the previously selected frequencies stored in the IFBR1B and quickly change frequencies for quick communication.

Q: 2. Is this large enough to fit a transmitter and receiver at the same time?

A: It is difficult to say; if it is just transmitter and receiver, then yes. But if it includes lavalier type microphone with cable, then possible it may not fit.

Q: 3. What is the effective range of the LMB B1 Transmitter? By range I mean distance between transmitter and receiver not frequency range.

A: The operating distance for the Lectrosonics LMb Bodypack Wireless Transmitter and a compatible wireless receiver is approximately 328 feet line of sight.

Q: 4. It is possible to combine a Lectrosonics L-Series LMb (B1: 537 to 614 MHz) with a UCR 411A?

A: Yes, the LMb transmitter can be used with all Lectrosonics Digital Hybrid Wireless receivers including the UCR411a when the compatibility mode for the transmitter and receiver are both set to the "Nu Hybrid" compatibility mode. Lectrosonics notes that if your receiver does not have Nu Hybrid mode, then set the receiver to the "Euro Digital Hybrid Wireless" compatibility mode.

Q: 5. Is there a battery eliminator made for this?

A: No,at this time there are no battery eliminators or alternate powering options available for the LMb transmitter.

Q: 6. Can you feed continuous time code from a separate Timecode device like an Ambient Lockit? My understanding is the clock in the MTCR is not reliable. I realize this is counter productive in terms of overall package size but I might need more accurate TC on some occasions.

A: Although the Lectrosonics MTCR Miniature Bodypack Digital Audio Recorder with M152 Lavalier will accept an external timecode jam, it does not appear that a hardwired timecode source will be accepted throughout recording. The timecode function may be similar to a "Free Run" jam scenario. With a Lockit hardwired, you may still have to initiate the "Timecode Jam" function each take if you are unconfident in the device's internal clock.

Q: 7. Does this Transmitter have IFB mode to use as an IFB Transmitter?

A: Yes, the Lectrosonics L Series LT Bodypack Wireless Transmitter does have an IFB mode option in the compatibility settings.

Q: 8. Can you use this with a SRa receiver

A: So long as your SRa receiver has the same frequency ranges as the LMb transmitter, the LMb transmitter will work with an SRa receiver.

Q: 9. Can I use a Sanken COS- 11D mic with a TA5F connector on the MTCR?

A: Yes. This will accept a TA5F COS-11D wired for Lectrosonics.

Q: 10. Will this give enough gain to power a DPA 4061 lav? The Tasman DR-10's don't...

A: No, the DPA 4061 microphone is not compatible for use with the Lectrosonics MTCR recorder, The DPA 4061 requires 5 to 10V to operate but the Lectrosonics MTCR can only supply 2 to 4V of plug-in power.

[1.05 lb] It's a little pricey, but works perfectly for our football officials.

[4.75 Hours ] If you can handle it’s larger size, the Lmb is the best 50mw transmitter in the market. Greatly exceeds similar priced sennheiser 500 series transmitters in range.

[Metal] I bought 5 pieces of LMB-B1 and I am Happy with themclean audio As all Lectrosonics,Easy to useBatteries last for a long time. it is not good distance and Audio quality when used with UCR 201. i test them out it is better to used them with LR - 411- Srb or Venue with VRT, i use them with 401 it is good but not good distance. You should pay attention to the door of the batteries a little bit sensitive.

[IR] We had busted all our antennas and we were losing reception from our body packs. These are a direct drop in replacement for the B60 transmitters. This was the perfect fix.

[IR] The DBSM via DCR822 has been very solid for me. The range is excellent, the sound is extremely transparent, and the durability is classic Lectro. I use these mostly at 10mw in a variety of situations with ALP690 shark fins and range or dropouts are hardly ever a concern. At 50mw they go extensively. Battery life is significantly better than the analog hybrid SMWB with over 6 hours at 10mw with lithium AA.

As everyone, I wish for the recording while transmitting feature that patent law so far has not allowed.

[2x AA] Having owned Lectro SmQV transmitters, I like this better. Tough build, easy getting the infrared channel from the LR. Buy it you will be light years ahead of all the sub $1K junk. Quality audio is the first thing you look for in a quality production.
