Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can anyone tell me if the 17" x 22" size can be used with the Canon imagePROGRAF Pro-1000 printer?

A: The Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Baryta Paper 17 x 22 inch is compatible with the Canon Pro1000 printer.

Q: 2. It's not clear to me which MOAB papers are for dye printers versus pigment printers.....a few specify but not all. For instance, Entrada and Somerset don't tell you which they are intended for. Is there an easy way to distinguish?

A: All of the Moab papers are recommended for pigment inks. Most are compatible with both pigment and dye inks. If it does not list dye ink in the overview or specifications, then it is not recommended for it.

Q: 3. Could I use this with my canon pro graph 4100 44"? If so what would be the ICC profile to choose and where to find a new profile if I need it.

A: You can download the ICC Profiles for Moab Entrada Rag Bright 290 Archival Inkjet Paper (44" x 40' Roll) (B&H# MOEB2904440) and all Moab papers and many different types of printers here: https://bit.ly/3iJCWon

Q: 4. Which LR print settings do you use to avoid white borders? (I've tried various settings but always get a sliver of a white border on one or two sides.) Thanks!

A: We recommend that you contact Adobe support. https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html?promoid=RGJ8NLP8&mv=other

Q: 5. Could I use it with Epson Sure Color P600?

A: Unfortunately the P600 does not have a roll adapter so you will be unable to mount this roll to your P600. Instead you will need to use the Entrada Bright 300 sheets (available in 13x19 and smaller). The next printer model up, the P800, has a roll adapter.

Q: 6. Is the paper grain parallel to the short side or the long side? Apparently the label is marked GS if it is short grain.

A: There is no way we can know in advance what batch we'll get from Moab, but yes if it has a GS it will mean 'short grain'. Moab cuts the paper from a roll & it depends how they slice it up. Although the paper is smooth people that want to fold the paper (i.e. for cards) would be very specific in the grain direction so the paper folds smoothly.

Q: 7. Can this paper be used with an Epson R2880 printer?

A: Yes. I have done so. Very good.

Q: 8. Will this paper load into an Epson P800 with the roll paper feeder?

A: Yes, the Moab Juniper Baryta Rag 305 Paper (17" x 50' Roll) should work with the Epson Roll Media Adapter for the SureColor P800.

Q: 9. Do you have any problems loading this in a Pro-100 printer ? Heavier Hahnemuhle gloss Baryta 320 will not load with the manual feed

A: Should be no problem at all if you feed it in the manual rear feed even for the Baryta 320. Just be sure to feed it straight in with both hands by pushing it lightly & the printer will automatically grab it.

Q: 10. This looks intriguing. Is it special purpose paper? One review mentions an adhesive. What are the prints meant to be attached to? Thanks.

A: It's the same as the full sized paper sheets or rolls. The only thing is due to the thickness of this paper & small size,, you might have to manual feed it in the larger printers (those that take up to 13x19 & above). Being so the manual feed won't recognize the 4x6 therefore you need to mount iton a larger paper. Please note this paper wont fit into the small all in one photo printers due to its thickness.

[Single] I have long preferred Baryta paper for my prints (95% are B&W). I have tried Baryta papers from many manufacturers and Moab Juniper is by far the best. You only need to hold a print in your hands and feel the wonderful texture of the paper to recognize the difference. Juniper feel reminds me of Moab Entrada (my go to matte finish paper) with a baryta coating. In short, a wonderful paper for my prints.

[Glossy] I like the heft and warmth of this paper. Most of all I like the way it makes my images look good. It's the baryta surface I presume that allows for the ink to set up so nicely. It has a matte look but a mildly glossy finish. I should point out I am using a canon pro-100 which is a dye ink not pigmented. Colors look great and true. Try it. I don't think you will be disappointed.

[25 x 6.4 x 6.3"] This paper is very similar to Museo Silver Rag but has a very slight tooth . These are now my two favorite papers. A wonderful addition to our options.

[7.9 lb] Whether in B&W or color, I use this now for finished prints. Great feel and just the right amount of luster. I have many different papers on hand, but find this very pleasing.

[Glossy] I print black and white fine art photos using this paper. It has deep rich tones that feels close to darkroom fiber paper. Probably my favorite paper.

[25 x 6.4 x 6.3"] I had high hopes for this paper when I purchased it. I've had high hopes before and been disappointed with printing media and printers. This paper was outstanding. The depth of the black and whites I printed feel are the same as darkroom quality. The paper feels amazing and the images are complemented by the incredible surface of this paper. Each print belongs in an art gallery. A+

[305 gsm] I've printed on a lot of high-end ink-jet papers over the years, most of them were very, very good, but the Moab Juniper Baryta Rag 305 became my go-to paper a long time ago. It's excellent for color and b/w work, the surface most closely resembles the air-dried printing papers I used in the darkroom. Absolutely gorgeous.

[7.9 lb] Nice heavy paper. Fantastic for B&W! I had to increase the vacuum on my Canon ipf6400 but once that was set I'm good to go. I really wanted a baryta paper with no optical brighteners and this one is just what I've been waiting for. The price is right too!

[1x Paper Roll] This is one of my favorite papers. I use it for both black and white and color images. The results have been stunning. The slight warmth is great for my B&W images. The paper needs to dry down about 48 hours to really see the full richness. I use my old drying racks to let them air out. The paper ha a minor texture which is very pleasing. The paper can be viewed at multi angles with no problems.
