[0.615 lb] I really appreciate the personal attention I received from the 2 or 3 employees at the B&H Photo store in mid town Manhattan. My shopping experience was relatively small, I needed replacement lens caps for an old pair of binoculars. They spent a good amount of time researching various options and bringing up a couple of items from the basement. One of them fit perfectly and I bought it for the eye portion. They did not have any fits for the other side of the binoculars but he suggested I try the Used section, which I did and again the employees there were very helpful. Great service!!

[Zippered] The Opticron 10x42 DBA VHD+ monocular is a bit larger and heavier---more expensive too---than other handheld scopes, but the view is really unparalleled in terms of field-of-view and sharp definition; and the device is a real pleasure to use. My only complaints are that, once the objective lenscap is on, the scope fits too tightly into the belt-looped case; the eyepiece cap has to be secured somehow; and the rotating, elevating eyepiece is a little too free in its motion. In terms of sharp optics, though, this monocular is a real champ. (Why B&H sends a free binocular harness out with this monocular, I could not tell you.)

[0.615 lb] I love the case. I was able to use it during my trip to Iceland. I took it with me at the sky lagoon and everyone ther was impress by it.
The DJI packet camera did not get wet. It was dry.The stam in the area did not interfeared with the image. I did not get foggy images. My camera worke well.
At home, I tested the device in the swimming pool and the spa. Greatresults, the case did not get water inside. It is hermetic despit simple desing.
The device also floats; it did not sink with the osmo packet camera inside.

My videos and pictues look great.
I highly reommended.

[8.5 oz (241 g)] The Opticron 8x42 DBA VHD+ Monocular is lightweight and easy to carry and use. This monocular is great for quick bird and critter identification. I put a lanyard on mine so it is out of the way, but immediately handy when hiking. Opticron has rubber lens covers available that can slide on each end and then can be flipped on or off the ends without having to remove the caps. No more lost caps!

[Zippered] Delivery by B&H was very prompt. this pair of Opticrons's is the fifth pair i've bought.......have gifted three of them to birder family members. for the money i don't know what you'd buy that would give a better view. they gather light quite well like all inexpensive binoculars they are a little soft at the edges, but most of us concentrate on the middle view and it is tack sharp at the center. these are ideal for birders. and i've enjoyed taking them outside at night to view the sweet spots in the Milky Way. you cannot go wrong buying these at the price B&H offers.

[0.615 lb] I purchased this monocular primarily for stargazing. I have looked around the landscape too. The optics are just that, great. I can't see any limitations between my eyes and the atmosphere. The field is flat to the edges, judged by stars. There is slight brightness variation at the edge barely noticeable when looking at the light polluted sky.
The whole device feels small and light. It easily fits in a pocket. I can hold it in one hand no problem. The problem is to hold it with two hands when I want to minimize shaking. I wish they made a bigger model, like 12x60 or so.

Focusing mechanism is smooth. The eyepiece is comfortable. The smaller, eyepiece cap is rather loose, bound to be lost some day. The larger one is tighter and there is another one in the box with secure attachment. Included carry strap is weird.
