[40°] The octabox by Broncolor is built solidly - nothing about it feels cheap; given the price, it shouldn't feel cheap either. Setting it up takes about a minute or so, thus it's quite easy to use. The light quality it gives me is excellent - very soft especially when used next to the subject. I usually have it a few feet above my head and I stand in front of it or have it off to the side slightly. At times, I'll remove both baffles for a more contrasty look. Definitely one of the more accessible Broncolor products.

[40°] Much smoother soft light across the entire 5 ft. surface compared to umbrellas with diffusers. Used with Profoto flat front lights, the internal baffle with extra center layer really works great. I leave the internal baffle and front diffuser in place all the time as instructed by Urs Recher from Broncolor to save time with no detriment to performance or longevity. The trick to disassembly for me is to start with speedring side down, diffuse up. Pull back one corner of the diffuser and unhook one inner baffle snap. Then reach in with both hands and push two opposing rods down to the floor to flatten them at the speedring. Then pull apart the flattened rods from the speedring (they separate much easier when horizontal).

The folded Octobox in its case fits nicely in my SKB checked luggage case along with light stands, etc. for air travel. Beside providing beautiful light, the whole system is robust and should last a lifetime.

[40°] This is a well constructed softbox that provides a nice soft light that I didn't expect to be better than other brands. But it produces light that can wrap around your subject or smooth gradients of light that fall off into the shadows. The diffusion panel also has an added circular layer of diffusion to reduce hot spots. Quick and easy to assemble but takes a little muscle to disassemble like most soft boxes. No regrets about broncolor modifiers. They are awesome in every way the can be.
