At 5.5 lb the Dracast 3-Light Tungsten Kit for Newsroomsfrom Dracast 3-Light Tungsten Kit for Newsroomsis an ideal choice for the studio or location work where color accuracy, control and flicker-free output are of major importance. The LED1000-TX's tungsten-balanced output is well-suited to color matching other tungsten fixtures, while its high CRI of 95 renders colors with precision and fidelity. Dimming from 100-0% is conveniently done with a back-panel button that adjusts the output with negligible color shift and indicates the light level on a digital readout. Alternatively, you can control the light's functions remotely thanks to its DMX capability. The low electrical draw of just 60W means a timely return on your investment.

The durable anodized aluminum frame is supported by a sturdy, U-shaped yoke with locking knobs on each side and a standard 5/8" receiver. This version of the LED1000 can be used worldwide, powered by the included 100-240 VAC power adapter. Accessories include optional 4-way barndoors for contouring and control of the LED1000-TX's 45 degree beam angle.

A: No, the knob does not have detents.

A: No diffusion or temperature filters are included. The light is variable temperature though.

Q: 7. The video states that this light takes either a Sony or a Panasonic battery,Is there two battery trays? I shoot with a Pani DVX200, I can't find any LED lights that use that style of battery, It's defiantly a disadvantage to have to carry two types of batterys.

A: This will only run directly off of the Sony-type NP-F batteries. However, it will also run off the D-tap cable from the larger brick style batteries (the ones that use the V-mount or Gold mounts), as long as it has the appropriate voltage. Q: 9. What sort of tungsten fresnel would this be closest to? A 150? 300? Lumens I can figure out but lux is Greek...

A: This light produces 1258 LUX at 6 feet, which close to the output of what an Arri 150 Fresnel would give you in flood position when set at about 3.5 feet.

Q: 10. I am getting mixed messages. Some people say that this comes with a battery and others do not. It doesn't not include a battery in the in the box . Which is right?

A: Mine did not include a battery. I had to buy one.

[12.4 lb] I'm no stranger to video production equipment in my line of work, but this is simply the best LED light I've ever come across. Sometimes I'm on the set for hours at a time, but this light never fails me in terms of accurate color rendering, no matter how long I run it. I've never gotten any flicker from it, either, and I've tried a lot of lights in my time! The best part is that it doesn't get super hot, meaning no one is sweating on camera and getting super uncomfortable. For my money, I definitely recommend the Dracast LED 1000. It's been a lifesaver! 5

[12.4 lb] I do a lot of research before buying something and after hashing out the pro's and con's of other similar lights I'm glad I got this one. The way I see it, this is a must have if you take your video work seriously. There are quite a few great things about this LED light panel, for starters it's lightweight and really easy to transport when doing a video shoot on location. Secondly it is very bright and doesn't get hot like other lights I've used in the past.What I really loved (And continue to love) about this light is the color accuracy you get. It's fantastic. I really don't know any other way to describe it. I believe the CRI is 95 out of a 100. That might sound good but you have no idea how good that really is until you see the results on film. Colors look very natural, warm and no matter how long a shoot lasts the intensity and colors always remain consistent. 5

[CRI 95] I was interested in buying a ring light. I've previously purchased Dracast products in the past and have been very happy with the quality. B&H sells a Dracast Ringlight ALONE for $160 so when I saw this bundle, paired with 2x bi-color LED's and 3x stands AND all AC Adapters, I jumped on it. I'll use the two LED panels in other setups even without the ring light. This is a great value. 5

[60 W Maximum] Its a fantastic kit, great for interviews and enough amplitude for lighting medium-sized rooms. Also gives you tremendous control and diversity. LEDs and Kinos are nice and all, but they can't compare to the level of light manipulation and richness this little kit gives you. 5

[CRI 95] I have found that this is a great kit for smaller projects and interviews. The fixtures that are included give a lot options for the type of productions we do. And because of the size of the fixtures, we are able to use house power for everything. All around a great buy. 5

[CRI 95] The stands work if you take the caps off of them and reveal the threads underneath! If you need the square lights to be hot swappable, you need the adapters - otherwise they will work on the provided stands if you take off the cap. 5

[3200K] I have been using this 1000's for a year and I am very suprised by the amount of power and the flexibility of adjusting the light output depending on the need. Also the 2hrs Bateries are so helpful! I brought one of my lights to Brazil, France and Bolivia so far and the unit is as good as new! 5
