A: I would recommend to keep it on all the time as protection against bumps and scratches. If you work in the hot sun it potects against the camera body becoming too hot. After a major shoot, working in dusty conditions, it is a good idea to remove the cover and clean the camera before putting it on again.

A: Yes, with a little bit of workaround. Frost install the cover. Then install the battery grip and before tightening try to hold lower edge of the cover away from the body and tight the grip.

A: No it's designed to be used without the battery pack

A: I have an A7R3 with the vertical grip and the silicon protection cover and the answer is no.

[0.385 lb] I bought this from B&H a year ago. I bought the bright yellow and a black cover gor 2 different bodies. I use the yellow for all my schools & sports, and the black for weddings and events. Cover provides excellent protection had a nice feel that maintains grip even in the heat. As safe as the visibility of the side buttons I go over the letters with a black pen and wipe away what is not in the groove on the yellow cover and use a silver sharpie to do the same on the black cover. Recommend it highly. 5

[Red] these Protection covers are great. They prevent the usual dings the camera body gets with normal wear. I have used them for several years and every camera I resell brings a few extra dollars because of the absence of nicks and dings on the case! A device well worth its price! 5
