Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this Jr2 transmitter trigger Jrx receiver?

A: I think it can, but the folks at Radio Popper are super helpful I would call them to verify!

Q: 2. Will this control power on Nikon SB 900?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 3. There aren't any pictures showing the bottom of the receiver. Nor description indicating there's a thread to mount the receiver to a stand. The picture does show it mounted to a stand as indicated in the image in use 1 ...Do I need an adapter to mount to my stand or does it have a thread on bottom?

A: I was able to attach the Nano Receiver directly to a stand. On the Nano Receiver, there is a female threaded Brass Insert on the underside that is not shown. There was a brass top on my stand that I removed a plastic cover from and it revealed a threaded stud which I threaded the Nano Receiver to and then attached a Speedlight to the receiver.

Q: 4. Is there a bracket for the PX-RN receiver for the Nikon SB-700? It looks like the bracket supplied here is only for the SB-900 and SB-800.

A: The RadioPopper PX Receiver Mounting Bracket and Base included with this receiver can also work with the SB-700.

Q: 5. I've read that photographers will use these poppers in conjunction with Nikon's $230 optical slave for better results, what say you?

A: The RadioPopper Nano Receiver is a radio wireless sync and does not work with an optical slave.

Q: 6. How can I connect it to Nikon dc-2 camera plug to remotely trigger the shutter?

A: You would connect a remote cable with the DC-2 connector to this receiver into the miniphone jack on the side of it. One such cable you can use is the Vello 3.5mm Remote Shutter Release Cable for Nikon DC-2 Cameras, B&H # VERCCN235. Please see the image below for reference.

Q: 7. Will this trigger a Norman 200C flash?

A: You can check the compatibility by going to the Jr2 site and you will find the list of flashes it will trigger.

Q: 8. Any issues with this working with Sony a7rII?

A: Unable to answer. Using Canon equipment. So far excellent.

Q: 9. Will this receiver work with an older rp transmitter? I lost one of the rp cubes but see that you dont make that model anymore.

A: Unfortunately no. I bought an older version of this thinking it will work with my RP JR2 setup (1 JR2 transmitted, 2 JR2 receivers). The older RP JR1 received did not sync or recognize the RP JR2 transmitter. Recommend by like for like in this case.

Q: 10. what do I need to use the tx with slt-a65 and rx with hvl-f42am? ( besides the tx & rx)

A: The transmitter has a standard hotshoe. To use that with the Sony a65 you need a transmitter two adapters.RadioPopper Nano TransmitterB&H # RANANOT Mfr # NANO-Thttp://bhpho.to/1yMjB7b This is for the camera.Sony Auto-Lock Shoe AdapterB&H # SOADPAMA Mfr # ADPAMAhttp://bhpho.to/1gjWYR5This is for the flashSony Multi-Interface Shoe AdapterB&H # SOADPMAA Mfr # ADPMAAhttp://bhpho.to/1cjK16q

[16] Same as Buffs receiver for the Einstein except the radio popper triggers the Einstein. As I use radio poppers outside too this allows me to be seamless in my workflow.

[6 x 3.8 x 0.6"] I always manually set my speedlites so I wanted something reliable and with good range. These Made-in-the-USA triggers do the job and I don't worry about them not working during critical movements. Yes, you can save some money buying cheap Yongnou triggers, but if you're doing paid work, the peace of mind you get from this product is well worth the money you're saving.

[4] I've used the old JRX model for years and was delighted that these new nanos had been released. I replaced my JRX's with them and i'm extremely pleased. They work great fresh out of the box and are very consistent. Not having to deal with an aux cable and RPcube to fire my flashes is a breath of fresh air. And they're really inexpensive too!

[16] Nano receiver goes with the Nano transmitter. It also goes with me whenever I take my flash gear. My recommendation: Don't leave home without it.

[16] I got it say I've looked at a lot of different things and but that they all suck these things are fantastic weather your transmitter or receiving you can't go wrong it's not TTL though but if you're really a photographer who the hell needs TTL

[6 x 3.8 x 0.6"] I unpacked the receivers and was able to get it to fire my 430EX and my Smith Victor Strobes. I own a Canon 20D and a Pentax 1st*D I was able to trigger my Canon 430Ex and my Smith Victor Strobes with a little tinkering. That was a concern weather I could use the triggers with any camera and flash units I had.
