The silver Star PAR Luminaire from Altman is a rugged, lightweight alternative to conventional PAR 64 luminaires. The highly polished specular reflector has been designed to operate most efficiently with the new generation of 575-watt tungsten halogen lamps. This model Star PAR is equipped with a G9.5 socket.

The fully rotational lens holder easily accepts a variety of lenses, and the lenses are interchangeable tool-free. The removable, two-slot accessory holder has a self-closing, self-locking retaining latch for safety. A stylish modern-industrial appearance and ergonomically designed function controls add to the appeal of this versatile luminaire.

A: Any Home Depot or Lowes. Its Black Pipe 1 1/2 Diameter. Come in 10' legnths. Use a cupler for longer lengths. By all of this right off the shelf!

A: The top of the stand is 5/8. Items that have a 5/8 receiver should fit.

A: No, the Altman OD600A Outdoor Tungsten Par Fixture does not offer a snoot attachment.

A: Yes you can. It was a nice surprise. They stack nice and neat all together.

Q: 6. what is the maximum throw distance?

A: There is no maximum throw. A: The Altman Cast Iron Base - 22-3/8" works with a standard 1.5" threaded pipe.

Q: 8. What's the Kelvin for this light?

A: This ellipsoidal uses tungsten halogen lamps which give a color temperature of 3250 Kelvin. One of those lamps would be the Ushio HPL Lamp (575W/120V) B&H # USHPL575. Please see the image below.

A: Yes this will fit on the back part of the adapter, but for the front you would need a EF lens cap.

Q: 10. What is the diameter of the base? Is it heavy and stable?

A: It's about 14 inches and it is fairly heavy. I use this to mount a projector with a projector mount. It has been working very well for over a year now.
