[Yes] This is a solidly made dry bag at a very reasonable price, and it's a fairly comfortable carry as well. I customized mine with a layer of foam on the bottom -- easy and cheap. I'm much more comfortable having my gear in this than in a water-resistant camera pack when I'm out on the water.

[Yes] I bought this in preparation for a hike up the Narrows in Zion National Park, which, as most know, is essentially walking in a river. I was very nervous about taking my 5DSr and 24-105 on the hike, so decided to use this. Once it arrived, I was feeling good about the water protection, but was unsure if the hassle of opening and closing it would preclude me from using my camera anyway.

While I cannot speak to what happens upon total immersion (fortunately, I did not 'swim' at all on the hike), I ended up with an absolutely dry camera, plus all my other items I placed in the bag. Furthermore, I found in practice that the opening and sealing of the bag is actually a very quick procedure once you get that hang of it. I now feel like I have a totally safe bag to take my camera on many excursions where I might have worried before (small boats, any water related activities, etc.)

One last comment - it is also important to realize what this bag is not. It is not a typical camera bag, as it has no compartments of any kind inside. It is a just a bare, waterproof bag, configured as a pack. They make 3 sizes, and the 30L model I got is plenty big enough to put lots of stuff in, but you have to figure out how to organize the stuff inside the bag to be both safe and accessible for your needs. But if you want a way to comfortably carry gear around water without worrying about it getting wet (short of swimming) this bag deserves a look. I love mine.

[Yes] I am avid kayaker that has a lot of experience using various brands of dry bags. This is a good one. I actually do not use it for my camera gear (watershed is my favorite for keeping very expensive gear safe in adverse situations), but I would use this for quick access to a camera if I had too. The buckles are well made and durable. The bag is a heavier PVC material that will take some abuse. The external zipper pocket seems to be waterproof. Pro tip: Do not secure this bag to bungee cord on the your kayak deck. Use a non stretch line such as 550 cord.

[Yellow] I bought one of the overboard classic 25L backpacks About 6 years ago when they had them cheap at a well known membership store... And over the years, I wished I bought more. I used that backpack for years shooting in crazy downpours and blizzards and even on a river rafting event. Never had water in the bag once. My only gripe for he old bag had been the straps where not comfortable, it was just a tad too small, and there where no convenient pockets outside. Well this new 40L covers 2 of those concerns. It's considerably roomier than my old bag and the backpack straps are much more comfortable. However, there is NO pocket on the inside like there is on my old bag- not a deal breaker, but I loved the pocket on my 25L since it allows me to keep Wallet, phone, keys, or anything else need to access easily since the pocket was toward the top. Well, the 40L has no internal pocket and only the 2 small pockets on the side on the outside... Which are not really usable for much since here is no way to turkey secure anything you might put in there. But they're there. I have not had the new 40L in any kind of crazy weather like my old one, but I can see it's made every bit as good as the old one and I LOVE my old one, so I'm sure this one will serve me well for years. Also, overboard has excellent customer service in my experience- I lost one of the side clips to my old bag and contacted them to see if I could purchase a replacement and they sent me a new one for free and even covered shipping. I would not hesitate to buy any of their bags. I put an Fstop ICU pro XL or one of my top loading inserts in the new 40L making it a waterproof camera backpack. Highly recommend if you Will be in bad weather and need to be sure to keep stuff dry!

[Yes] I bought this to use while on tropical vacations, to keep my camera, phone and other stuff dry while on boat trips. This bag is great. Light weight, holds a lot of stuff and has kept my stuff completely dry. As a bonus it also works great on the beach to keep sand out. It holds my camera and phone, along with a change of clothes for my and wife and I, lightweight jackets and at least 1 beach towel. It comes in a plastic sleeve and folds flat so it takes up very little space in your suitcase. The shoulder strap is a nice feature. It was one of the least expensive dry bags out there and is very high quality. It doesn't have any inside pockets like some of the more expensive dry bags, but it does seal up air tight when the top of the bag is folded properly. I'm glad I bought it and would recommend it to a friend.

[Yes] Great size. We fit two pair of jeans n shoes, beach towel. Didn't get chance to get it wet so not sure about the waterproof feature. Bag is very sturdy. Shoulder strap is a very useful feature but probably need to add a padding to it because the bag got bit heavy from carrying it around. The bag itself is lightweight.

[Empty] I purchased this product to take on my kayak. I am an avid bird photographer and was worried about my expensive camera getting wet. No worries with this bag - worked perfect. I first dropped in the water with a shirt and left it for about 3 minutes - the shirt was perfectly dry still - no leakage. The only draw back is it's not padded that great, but I took my camera out of it's bag and placed in between some foam and it was just perfect.
