Gain a tactical advantage with Burris Optics' 5-25x50 XTR II Side Focus Riflescope. This riflescope is intended for tactical and competitive long-range shooters, and represents a robust, precise optic with a 5x optical system and a thicker maintube (25% more) than the original XTR riflescope. The lenses feature index-matched fully multi-coated surfaces that deliver great clarity and visibility in most lighting or environmental conditions. In addition to excellent image quality, this optic provides a generous maximum eye relief of 4.25", windage and elevation ranges, and an illuminated SCR MOA reticle. This 1st focal plane reticle features a MOA-based modified German #4 style. It has a full field milling crosshair with an illuminated T-shaped central portion, and is intended for engaging targets at long distances, in low-light conditions.

Designed for a lifetime of service, the 6061-T6 aluminum housing (with a single-piece 34mm maintube) is waterproof, fogproof, and shock-resistant. Featuring Burris' triple internal spring-tension system, it will hold zeros through hard recoil and impact. Also noteworthy are its graduated and finely knurled XT-100 windage and elevation turrets with 25 MOA per revolution and Zero Click Stop technology that permits for a quick and easy return to zero. The side focus parallax corrector offer a range from 50 yd to infinity, helping to improve precision aiming by removing ambiguity.

Q: 3. what base top mount should be used for a savage arms mark ii .22 bolt action rifle?

A: I would use the Vortex 1-Inch Riflescope Rings (High). You gun should be pre tapped for a scope. If not you can use 2 of the Weaver Top Mount Base #24 pictured below at B&H. This way you will clear the bolt.

Q: 4. Can this take the shock of a 50 BMG?

Q: 6. Is this scope manufacturer in Austria or is it assembled in the United States ?

A: Hi Michael - all of the Swarovski Optik illuminated rifle scopes are manufactured and assembled in our factory in Austria. Specifically, in the town of Absam, which is near Innsbruck in the Austrian state of Tyrol. Here in the US at our Repair and Assembly facility in Rhode Island, we do assemble the 1-inch main tube Z3 and Z5 rifle scopes from components shipped here. Since the majority of 1-inch rifle scopes are sold here in the US, it is more cost-efficient that way and frees up manufacturing capacity back in Absam.

    Q: 7. origin?

A: This item is made in China.

Q: 8. I have a dpms and my friend bought me a TRS-25. I think I need the hi-rise model. can you buy the riser block separately?

A: The high rise mount will give you a lower third co-witness with your iron sights. The mid rise will give you an absolute co-witness. The UTG brand on Amazon are inexpensive but work very well.

Q: 9. Are these 30mm medium ? Asking because AFAIK the 0.77 measurement is for 1 rings not 30mm. Thanks...

[1x CR2032] The Burris BTS50 Thermal Riflescope is an excellent piece of equipment that I use on my private time for calling Coyotes and other furbearers in South Dakota. It has an overall quality image along with simple operating which results in successful hunts.

This scope is perfect for beginners and experts, and being able to run it on rechargeable 18650 batteries makes for a cost effective and versatile set up since 18650 batteries are what I also use in my hunting lights.

[5 to 25x] Last year After owning a 5-25 xtrii along with a couple of other high end brand scopes I decided to buy a 4-20 h591 xtrii to put on my match rifle I was building in 6.5 saum.
I went with this scope because of the features, price and my experience with the 5-25 model.
Being my match rifle I wanted a scope that was precise with or without dialing. This means having a tree style or Horus style reticle. I prefer the h59 and it is my favorite of all current offerings anywhere. This scope is the lowest priced scope with this reticle.
While being the lowest price it is not the lowest quality rather it is very high quality in terms of workman's ship, durability and reliability.
I wanted a scope that I could get out to 2k with on dial without using holds. With a 20 moa base and a 5 moa insert in the xtr signature rings I get 92 minutes (26 mils) of dial which gets me 2300 yards at my favorite range.
I've only shot in 2 matches so far with this rifle and scope with 6th and 9th place finishes. This scope also helped me get my 1500 yard milk jug challenge and 1000 yard milk jug challenge.
My only wish is that the xtrii h591 was offered in a 5-25x56
Other than that there is nothing to complain about

[50 mm] I have used this optic for the past 12 months helping to control invasive species at my farm and it was my preferred pick over night vision. The settings are easy and the optic quality is great. I couldnt imagine using anything else after using this thermal. For beginner or expert, this is a great choice.

[1x CR2032] I use it for night time hog hunting, it works great, clear image, and a decent battery life. Probably going to pick up another one soon

[Yes] This is my first thermal. It works fantastic. I hunt hogs in TX and have had a wonderful time. The picture is clear, the format is very easy to use, zeroing is simple. I bore sighted it in my living room and only needed a two click adjustment to get it zeroed at the range. I can see animals clearly at nearly 1000 yards. I have not pushed any significant distance shooting so I cannot speak to how that works. The hogs I have shot have all been within 60 yards since this scope makes it easy to walk right in to them. But if you are on the fence, I would recommend this thermal.

[Yes] I gave 5 stars because of the affordability and ease of use. It turns on quickly and has great features and a multitude of reticle choices. Battery life has been great for only needing one battery which is rechargeable. In the Army, I had to run 16 batteries if memory serves for only 2-3 hours of use. So far I haven't had to recharge it and used it many times. The picture is from the first 10 seconds I turned it on! Image was around 75 yards...Pretty amazing and picked up the images without issue. Easy to sight in as well as long as you use a solid vice and dial to the first shot without moving the rifle. Should work well on eliminating my hog problems.
