$297.00 $403.92

Small enough to fit in your pocket and powered by a pair of AAA batteries, the Teenage Engineering PO-12 Rhythm Drum Synthesizerfeatures both real synthesized drum sounds and sampled drum sounds with 16 punch-in effects including delay, bit crusher, and filters.

The synthesizer parameters can be locked while an auto compressor and hardware limiter ensure adequate signal generation without clipping.

A 16-step sequencer features 16 available patterns and up to 16 patterns can be chained together. An integrated clock and alarm clock expands the creative possibilities of the instrument. A jam sync function with 3.5mm audio in and out connections allows for multiple synthesizer units to be linked together.

Using high-quality components with low power consumption, the synthesizer is cleverly designed with a Silabs EFM 32 Gecko CPU, a Cirrus Logic DAC, and a Knowles speaker placed under a novel animated LCD on a single circuit board. A fold-out stand makes it easier to play, and rear-panel speaker solder terminals allow you hook up the unit to a larger sound system.

An optional tailor-made silicone pro case (sold separately) adds anti-slip feet, battery protection, and professional-feel buttons to this very unique music-making device.

[2 Years] I discovered that I can't operate the PO-12 in my hand since it puts tension on the batteries, bending the battery positive or negative contacts away from the battery. It should be operated on a firm surface. When removing the batteries, keep one finger pushing inwards towards the battery and use a flat head screwdriver to push the other end of the battery inward and upwards. If the contacts do bend, then remove the batteries and gently apply inward pressure to restore them to their original position. That aside, the price and number of sound variations make this synthesizer a buyer's deal.

[2 Years] I bought this for my train commute. I thought it might be hard to use, after watching half of a twelve minute video I was making drum beats. After a few hours of not being able to put it down I'm hooked and completely able to put beats in my head right into the machine. I couldn't be more impressed.

[0.15 lb] If you're not a crazy musical person, but want something to toy around with...you'll have so much fun with this. If you're someone that makes music professionally, GET THIS, you'll have even more fun with it, but also bring this thing everywhere.

But once you get one try to suppress the urge to buy em all!

[4 x 2.5 x 0.8"] may be the most effective of the bunch, so many uses and features every musician should have one in their pocket
