The yellow, 30-liter OverBoard Classic Waterproof Backpack 30L - Yellowfrom OverBoard Classic Waterproof Backpack 30L - Yellowis a bag with a 1,800-cubic-inch capacity that is able to float and keep its contents dry, even when briefly submersed to a depth of three feet. Utilizing a fold-seal closure that is secured with a snap-buckle, this bag features an IP66 rating and is suitable for use while on a boat, raft, or whenever there is an elevated risk of the wearer or their backpack falling into water. Aside from providing protection from accidental immersion and the ability for later retrieval, the Classic Waterproof Backpack may also be used for instances where some exposure to water is anticipated, such as while crossing a stream or river.

To help ensure that this Classic Waterproof Backpack is comfortable to carry, its shoulder straps feature both padding and ventilation in addition to a ventilated back panel that further cools the wearer. An adjustable sternum strap provides stability and built-in lumbar support reduces pressure on the lower back.

Should the need arise to retrieve this bag under darkness or low-light; reflective external patches are included on the front surface and on both shoulder straps. Three external D-rings allow for direct and secure attachment of accessories and an external mesh side pocket provides a visible and easily accessible compartment.

[Yellow] This is a solidly made dry bag at a very reasonable price, and it's a fairly comfortable carry as well. I customized mine with a layer of foam on the bottom -- easy and cheap. I'm much more comfortable having my gear in this than in a water-resistant camera pack when I'm out on the water.

[21 x 15 x 1"] Took this to Antarctica to carry camera gear on wet Zodiac boat expeditions. Worked like a charm.

[Yellow] worked fine. Could probably have used the next smaller bag for my Canon 6D and Tamron 150-600 lens. Never dumped it, but it was air tight.

[21 x 15 x 1"] I'm using this pack on the trip that I qm currently on. I love it. It's lightweight and holds a lot of items. I still need to access what it's like in really wet conditions, but so far, so good.

[2.45 lb] I need a waterproof backpack for an upcoming trip. This will hold all my optical gear, fit in the overhead, and come in under the 18lbs allotted weight limit.

It’s a little tight, and a have a cloth or two to provide protection between cameras, but I trust it to do the job.

[21 x 15 x 1"] I purchased this product to take on my kayak. I am an avid bird photographer and was worried about my expensive camera getting wet. No worries with this bag - worked perfect. I first dropped in the water with a shirt and left it for about 3 minutes - the shirt was perfectly dry still - no leakage. The only draw back is it's not padded that great, but I took my camera out of it's bag and placed in between some foam and it was just perfect.

[Yes] Excellent dry backpack or just as a dry bag. I use it as a dry bag while kayaking. It makes it a lot easier to carry my gear and tote my kayak at the same time to launch.
It easily holds my Nikon Z9, 500pf, 70-200. With room for some other gear. I leave it between my legs and can quickly get my camera in or out for shooting.
I'm very happy with this purchase.

[2.45 lb] I bought one of the overboard classic 25L backpacks About 6 years ago when they had them cheap at a well known membership store... And over the years, I wished I bought more. I used that backpack for years shooting in crazy downpours and blizzards and even on a river rafting event. Never had water in the bag once. My only gripe for he old bag had been the straps where not comfortable, it was just a tad too small, and there where no convenient pockets outside. Well this new 40L covers 2 of those concerns. It's considerably roomier than my old bag and the backpack straps are much more comfortable. However, there is NO pocket on the inside like there is on my old bag- not a deal breaker, but I loved the pocket on my 25L since it allows me to keep Wallet, phone, keys, or anything else need to access easily since the pocket was toward the top. Well, the 40L has no internal pocket and only the 2 small pockets on the side on the outside... Which are not really usable for much since here is no way to turkey secure anything you might put in there. But they're there. I have not had the new 40L in any kind of crazy weather like my old one, but I can see it's made every bit as good as the old one and I LOVE my old one, so I'm sure this one will serve me well for years. Also, overboard has excellent customer service in my experience- I lost one of the side clips to my old bag and contacted them to see if I could purchase a replacement and they sent me a new one for free and even covered shipping. I would not hesitate to buy any of their bags. I put an Fstop ICU pro XL or one of my top loading inserts in the new 40L making it a waterproof camera backpack. Highly recommend if you Will be in bad weather and need to be sure to keep stuff dry!
