Q: 5. Would this be a good mic for a podcast? Or do you have other recommendations?

A: The Beta 58 is a great sounding microphone that can be used in different applications, however this is mainly used to capture vocals for live sound. For podcast I would recommend one of the microphones in the links bellow, the first gives you the ability to connect the microphone through a interface to the computer but it also has a USB output to use it straight into the computer without additional hardware. The second microphone link it's one of the best sounding mics for a podcast and it has become the standard in the industry. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1593379-REG/shure_mv7_k_mv7_mic.html?sts=pi&pim=Y https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/225820-REG/Shure_SM7B_SM7B_Cardioid_Dynamic.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

Q: 10. Will this work with the DJI Mic 2 system?

A: The Shure CVL Centraverse Cardioid Lavalier Microphone cannot be used with the DJI Mic 2 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder for Camera & Smartphone (2.4 GHz), the connector is a mini-XLR and the DJI Mic2 system requires a 3.5mm connector.

[10 x 4.7 x 3.2"] Always a great choice for vocals, this mic was purchased for just that. We used it last week for a live performance with our female singer, and it sounded nice and lively with her voice.
The fact that ~$40 worth of extras was included for only $10 more was the icing on the cake. The stand feels solid and will hold up well I think. The included mic cable is being kept as a spare, but with Neutrik connectors I dont forsee any issues in the future.

[0.9 lb] Bought the first one, tried it out, and bought two more immediately.

Terrific microphone. I used to own a Sennheiser, but after a year of use, it started buzzing. Glad to replace it with this mic.

[10 x 4.7 x 3.2"] This is a great wired lavalier mic. It has great sound and comes with several connection clips and wind screens. I highly recommend this mike for interviews and just about any application where your subject is not in a lot of motion.

[0.9 lb] We use this lav mic for on-camera production of programs for a local TV station. Our shows contain vo footage recored with a large diaphragm condenser mic. The MX184 approaches the sound quality of the large mic yet is easily concealed on the talent. The cardioid pattern effectively reduces unwanted ambient noise.

[10 x 4.7 x 3.2"] I got this Lav to use with my Zoom H4n and it sounds great. Really picks up sound. So much that I have to turn the recording level down from the previous mic I was using. This is great as it gives me more range to work with.

[0.9 lb] We use this lav for education purposes at Morgan State University and it's been a true workhorse. Dare I say, the students can drop them, pack gear on top of them, tug on the cables, and more and they just keep working. We've been using them for almost 5 years now and just ordered a bunch more as additions to our growing department. It's a rarity that one comes up with a short, and it's usually in either the capsule or the mic & cable itself which you can buy independently. Audio quality is superb in noisy situations and in the studio it's crystal clear. Windscreens minimize pops, cracks, ambient and of course modest breezes. The only MINOR downside to these mics are the lack of an internal battery. They do draw on phantom, so not having that battery means whatever we plug them into has to provide the power, but thats never an issue for the systems we use.

[10 x 4.7 x 3.2"] Shure 58A Beta doesn't need any recommendations. It's probably the best vocal microphone for live performance.
