Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How much is the load capacity?

A: This question cannot be answered without knowing the direction of the load and the orientation of the base to which the load is applied. Oriented where the contained rod is vertical and in compression, failure would occur in the rod. Oriented where the rod is vertical and in tension would result in the failure at the set screw where the rod is attached to the base where the rod is steel or in the rod if it is aluminum.Oriented where the rod is horizontal would result in a bent rod long before this base would fail if it is firmly attached to a wall. I think the screws holding the base would fail before the base. This base is steel and is not likely to fail. This base accepts a 16mm rod. I think even a steel rod would bend before this base would bend or a weld would break. This base accepts a 16mm rod.

Q: 2. How much is the load capacity of the locking receiver?

A: I believe it depends on the capacity of the tripod. The F301 is a very sturdy and solid wall plate to place something on. As far as the load capacity you have to check the manufacturer specifications.

Q: 3. How much is the load capacity?

A: Unfortunately, Avenger does not list a load capacity for this item.

Q: 4. What is the distance between the bigger holes on the short end?

A: From the center of each hole, we measured 65mm with a vernier caliper.

Q: 5. Is the pin removable?

A: The pin is welded in place.

Q: 6. What is the exact distance between the three (3) top 5/8 pins?

A: 13" between the pins.

Q: 7. What size bolts / screws are needed to mount into wall?

A: The holes in the plate measure out at around .25 inches. I have never used screws. I use gaffer tape to mount it on walls.

Q: 8. Do you know if it's possible to unscrew one of the baby pins when only one light is attached?

A: The pins are welded in place.

Q: 9. The photo shows that it is black. Is the entire piece silver or is the long bar black?

A: The Avenger F900 Baby Triple Header (Chrome-plated) is silver, the image may appear to be black from shadows cast onto the reflective chrome.

Q: 10. Anyone know if there is a version of this with a receiver instead at a 90 degree angle as well? Looking for something with similar load capacity and distance from the base.

A: I do not believe there is an option for a baby plate that is angled with a 5/8-inch receiver. One options is to use a 5/8 female to 5/8 female adapter like one of these, https://bhpho.to/3vmtsD9 .

[Steel] The product is bigger then most baby plates out there but feels quite solid.

[0.915 lb] Wish I had 100 of these. They are nice and compact. Great for hiding lights in the ceiling. Little pricey.

[Steel] After spending a few days looking for this exact product, I came across this Baby Plate. For my photo booth application, the 3 was a little high, but it works fantastically. It holds the strobe, what else could I ask for?

[Steel] Light some candles, I install this bad boy in to the knuckle of a C-Stand, gaff tape a pice of foam core to it, face a flood light on it, face it at my talent and let my light explode all over them. It's ecstasy. Turn you hard light in to light ecstasy with the addition of this baby plate. I bought two.
