[1 (Head)] I use this unit with an old beat up td5 as my second kick mixed into the first. Came with the reverse beater (not the pedal in case you are readin this) and was readily adaptable to any pedal. Seriously happy with it, NO ISSUES!

[1 (Head)] Great unit. I purchased this for my Roland HPD-10, and it's perfect. A bit bigger than I expected, but still easy to carry around, and great sensitivity. What's not so great? Now I need another kick pedal, as it isn't practical to keep moving between my real kick and this, and the beater heads are different. Oh well, worth every penny, and B&H was the greatest to work with!

[0.81 lb] you're not going to win any style points by using this, and if you're in a room above someone (apartment complex, etc), the down-firing beater transmits directly into the floor, so you may want to avoid this. Beyond that, however, it works perfectly fine, and doesn't take up much space. This is my second KD7, the first of which stopped responding to soft hits after about 3 years of abuse (5+ days a week, 2-4 hours a day, on average). I imagine I could've gotten away cheaper w/ a piezo replacement, but I figured I'd order a new one and try to fix the old one eventually. Anyhow... works great.

[4 oz (95 g)] Before buying the kd7 I bought the pintech ergokik and the kat percussion kick trigger. Both broke within a month. Not only has the kd7 lasted longer than both of those, the build quality is much better, and the triggering is much smoother and consistent. Don't waste time with the others. The Roland is a bit more money but definitely worth the extra expense.

[0.81 lb] I'm using these to control my microphone input gates. I originally tried another name brand that has XLR outputs since I'm sending the signal to my audio console (the very thing most people complain about those, is the very reason I wanted them). They where also made of metal and mounted so close to the drum shell, I felt the need to wrap them with tape. They interfered with the mounting system of my rack tom, and 2 of 4 of them failed within a couple uses (the solder joint on the piezo pickup broke off). Okay - I said all that to say - this little guy didn't have any of those issues. Mounts easy, low profile, been working reliably. I had to build a 1/4 to XLR adapter due to my use case, but that's proven to be worth it. I intend to buy more of these.

[0.81 lb] I've used an S&S Industries kick trigger with my DW5000 since 1996. The KD-7 was very easy to attach to my DW Pedal, plays just like my S&S, has wonderful sensitivity and sounds great with my TD-5 brain.
