The Sensei PRO 55-58mm Aluminum Step-Up Ringpermits the use of 58mm threaded filters on lenses with 55mm filter threads. It has large side knurls to provide a more textured grip when mounting or removing it from a lens. A: The OD is probably 79 or 80mm. You will have to try it with your cap, This is never an exact science due to the fact that dimensions are never precise from cap to cap and ring to ring.

A: While it would depend on the lens and filter you are using to say for sure, since this is a step-up ring and even wider, it is unlikely that it would cause any vignetting.

A: They are about 5mm thick which is about the same as a standard UV filter ring.

[55 mm to 58 mm] It was just what I was hoping for. I needed several filters (or so I thought) for different lens I recently purchased. With the help of B&H and their staff I just needed one and several step-ups. Did the jib I needed and salved a lot of money. This step-up is a plus! 5

[0.1 lb] For a little more money I prefer the Sensei Pro model over the regular one from Sensei. I like the ribbing on the adapter which helps me to grip it when taking the filter off. Nicely made as well. 5

[0.1 lb] I have 62 and 58 mm lenses. I buy top quality 62 mm filters and these step-up rings. They are light weight and inexpensive enough to keep them on each of the 62 mm filters. 5
