[0.04 lb] I own a Sony PCMD50 that has absolutely wonderful sound capture abilities. I also have the Sony HDR-AX2000 camera that has wonderful video, but not great audio (bottom end is lacking more than anything). This hot shoe adapter works perfectly to mount the PCMD50 to the hot shoe of the camera. Seems VERY sturdy and well built. I leave it on there if nothing is attached just to keep the metal in the hot shoe from rattling while I'm moving around. Only problem (not the hot shoes fault) is that having the PCM recorder mounted makes it impossible to move the small LCD from open to closed or vice-verse. If it was a little taller, what wouldn't be a problem. But for the money, I'm completely satisfied! 5
