A: Apologies but that information is not provided/published by the manufacturer. That noted, any proper termination of a cable to RJ-45 plug includes the shielding as not doing so would risk damaging the fragile-like nature of the contained copper conductor(s). Even when exposed, single copper conductors can easily break off during the crimping process.

A: The wire is a standard 28 gauge which is what fits the RJ45s/NE8 connectors. It is 350 Meg wire

A: The Pro Co Sound NE8MC Cat5e RJ45 etherCON Cable is an etherCON cable, so it consists of a Cat52 cable wrapped in a thicker jacket with extra shielding. Ethernet cables will always be more stiff than 3-pin audio cables, due to the higher quantity of conductors.

Q: 10. How flexible is it? Would it be appropriate for field use

A: There isn't a way for us to test how flexible this cable is but this cable is known to be rugged and used in harsh environments.

[0.15 lb] I have lots of these in various db levels. They are absolutely rock-solid, clean sounding, and durable for the long haul. These fix all of those overloads that you can't fix by adjusting volume. Just add in a -10db pad and you should be set. If the audio engineer feeding you is really inept, maybe a -20 might be needed. I have used these for years in video production and won't even consider another brand. 5

[Attenuator/Pad] Works perfectly for patching an i-pod and/or laptop into pro sound systems in theaters with great results. Plus the added bonus of stereo output! Must have for any sound F/X playback or music streaming in theater settings. Build is tough and durable... absolutely no 'chince'-factor! 5

[-20 dB] Very happy with this product. For being 150 feet long it coils compactly and is relatively light weight - which is perfect for the tour we are taking it on. 5

[0.15 lb] I had some issues connecting my computer to play through my Mackie loudspeaker but it seemed to work (with some minor feedback irritations and sound issues). I decided to look for a better solution and found the iFace...all I can say is WOW! This little unit it built for the pros and makes my computer sound like one! It's a solid unit and works flawlessly. Pro-Co's tech support was excellent in helping me find the right solution to my issues as I don't think I would have found it any other way. It's a great unit backed by a great company and worth every penny! 5
