The Miller 508 Telescopic Above Ground Spreader is designed for use with the 402 and the 420 2-stage tripods, and allows you to stably setup the tripods on uneven terrains, steps, and slopes. Made of alloy tubes, the sturdy spreader offers durability. The spreader allows you to instantly setup your tripod, holding individual legs at an equal or preset distance. Telescoping spreader arms enable you to further spread the legs hence you don't have to detach the spreader from your tripod for a large area setup.

A: That spreader should be fine with the 536 because the 536 has a single spike.

A: This is a universal ground spreader for any tripod that has spiked feet, so if your tripod has this feature, then it will work.

Q: 3. Can I use this with an sachtler FSB8 head?

A: You will need an adapter to fit the Sachtler video head's 75mm ball base into the Miller tripo's 100mm bowl. Here is one that is a high quality answer. Sachtler Adapter 75/100 75mm Ball Base to 100mm Bowl Adapter B&H # SA3906. Here is a more affordable alternative. Manfrotto 319 75mm to 100mm Bowl Adapter B&H # MA319.

Q: 4. Will these fit the Miller DS20? If not are there telescopic arms that will?

A: We are not aware that it would, as this is specifically designed for compatibility with the ArrowX heads series and we could not find a telescoping pan bar handle for the DS20.

Q: 5. What's the length of this at full extension?

A: The length of the Miller 16mm Telescopic Pan Handle is not listed by Miller. Our estimate for this discontinued item is that its length is from 16" - 22".

Q: 6. Looking for replacement locking pins for these spreaders. Does anyone know if they can be purchased separately?

A: The Miller Telescopic Pan Handle for ArrowX Heads is compatible with the Miller Compass 25.

A: This spreader is specific to E-Image tripods, if you wanted to use a spreader for the Sactler DA-100K legs, I would recommend B&H #: SASPMINI.

Q: 9. Does this work with Arrow #1010 Fluid Head?

A: This pan bar will work for the Miller Arrow 1, 3, 5, 7 heads.

Q: 10. What is the lowest height that this tripod will go?

A: The lower the 1589 Sprinter II will go is 26.4 .

[Pin & Eyelet] I've been using Miller solo legs with a older compass head for years. This is a great upgrade. I love the addition of hash marks and numbers on the legs. Much easier to see that the legs are even, or to recreate the height at a later date. I love the added counterbalance options of the CX8 head. This thing is solid and well build and made for heavy use. 5

[0.885 lb] self-explanatory well built accessory. pro- long handle section above the grip, but below the extension release clamp: this allows good placement of various Varizoom zoom & focus controls. con- they could be cheaper. it gets pricey spending almost $400 to extend both handles of a single dual handle video head. We just spent a lot on extension pan handles. 5

[12.8" (325 mm)] This is by far the best tripod I have ever used. Extremely well built and without any kinks in the pan/tilt action. Thank you for the people at Miller for assembling such a wonderful system. Absolutely no complaints and 110% worth the investment 5

[12.8" (325 mm)] I bought this because it is compatible with Sachtler 100mm ball legs, and it fits as if made for them. (Note--it will not fit my old 75mm ball Sachtler legs which have different dimensions for clamping to the feet.) It's made of plastic but seems good enough to last if not handled carelessly. It could certainly be broken at the center three way hinge if it gets twisted hard beyond its intended range of motion. This can happen if you open or close the legs in a way that is well out of symmetry, but I know to avoid this. This weak link holds the true for similar spreaders by other brands including the light spreaders for Sachtler 75mm legs. I give five stars because it works well at a fraction of the price of any Sachtler brand spreader. 5
