[1.25 lb] I use this to hold my waterproof Olympus Tough TG-2 while kayaking. Everybody who sees it marvels at the uncomplicated and easy to use design, which allows solid hands-free filming but also drops the camera face down at pull of a tab to turn video on/off, check images, or frame a still, zoom, etc. I tell them it is just as great as it looks. Feels totally comfortable and secure, fits smoothly overtop of my life jacket with good range of adjustment, gives me needed access with no fuss detaching from screw mount to hand camera to others. My one suggestion for improvement: make screw mount bolt from stainless, rustproof materials. Very hard to clean out all water after a day of action, and grease or oil don't mix with my camera or other apparel. Overall I would say this rig beats GoPro hands down, and others who see me using it agree. (I did try GoPro system first, sent it back). This one is a keeper!

[0.9 lb (0.4 kg)] I came from the era of the Canon XL1. Remember that camera? If not, look up a picture. A lot was said about that funky fold-out chest pad, but I loved it. It was a thoughtful, ergonomic solution for a camera that could be used handheld, but didn't have enough back-weight to justify a full pad balanced on your shoulder. I don't know why more prosumer or compact cinema cameras didn't implement a similar solution.


Anyway, the LanParte Chest Pad... it's awesome. I own two of them. I have a very compact Canon R5C setup and I like to shoot handheld, but I don't like to do the mid-body baby-tuck hold. I'm also not stable enough to just hold the rig by the camera grip and an added left-side handle. This allows me to have the magic 3 points of contact for more stable handheld shooting. It does put a little more weigh forward of your body, so you have to allow for that and rest when possible... keep that in mind. Also, since I like to keep the rig as close to my body as possible, I replaced the included 8 aluminum rod with a 6 carbon fiber rod to move it closer in, and help a little with weight.


This is not a replacement for a shoulder pad setup, it is an alternative setup for handheld work. Know what you're getting this pad for, and I think you'll like it. Highly recommended.

[0.9 lb (0.4 kg)] This does an excellent keeping the my lens in place (Sony 28-135mm with A7S). You have plenty of vertical adjustment and the elastic band will work one most lenses.

[1.25 lb] This piece is exactly what I was looking for when finishing out my rig for my run and gun setup. It's easy to put on take off and the padding is soft. So glad they made this part.

[1.25 lb] This is quite a solid shoulder support, a bit heavy however. I think they could have utilized some of the metal components a bit better, some 20 threads would have been nice for mounting a cheese plate or other components. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and would recommend this shoulder pad to a friend.

[1.25 lb] the vest is simple enough to assemble and fits comfortable and snug. It has velcro that is expansive enough to fit any body type. The 11LB weight limit is more than enough for most rig setups.

[1.25 lb] I took a risk with the Lanparte. I had never heard of the brand before. I have been using it since then exclusively. It is fantastic, I keep purchasing more of Lanparte products, and plan to for a long time to come. I do plan to purchase a Gold Mount of V Mount Pinch soon, in retrospect I should have purchased the version with the pinch from the beginning, but whats great about Lanparte, is I can get the pinch separate and put them together.

[1.25 lb] A must have item. Very comfortable.

[0.9 lb (0.4 kg)] It helps out a lot if you have a smaller setup. I sometimes use it as a shoulder pad as well.
