Power your camera rig with the LanParte VBP-01 V-Mount Battery Pinch. Featuring multiple power outputs and an integrated HDMI splitter, this unit provides effective power and video signal management. Three barrel jacks provide 12, 7.4, and 5 VDC of power output to different rig components, while a USB output is available for charging your mobile or wireless device. A barrel jack power input can charge the battery while tethered. Using the integrated 15mm LWS rod clamp, this battery plate can be mounted onto the rear of a shoulder rig. Having the device in this configuration allows you to use it and the battery as a counterweight for an otherwise front-heavy rig.

A: This combination is unknown and you must check that the polarity is correct before using. However, we are on the opinion that it should work as intended.

A: There are mainly DC outputs on the VBP-01. Only 1 port outputs AC, you need to use them according to what your devices take.

A: I have not personally used this with the PTSA& D-Tap to Sony a7 Dummy Battery, but it does have a D-Tap socket and should work just fine.

A: While I am not familiar with the Power Lok PLV-95 battery, if it has a standard V-Mount connection you should have no problems charging it on the Lanparte Pinch.

Q: 6. If I wanted to power an Atomos Flame off one of the DC outputs, is that possible and what cable would I need?

A: The Atomos Ninja Flame and Shogun Flame both include a D-Tap cable. You will be able to use that cable with this battery pinch.

Q: 7. Are the power output ports 2.5 mm?

A: The 7.4 v output has inner/outer diameters of 3.5/1.35mm. The other ports are 5.5/2.1mm.

Q: 8. Can I use this with a Nikon D810? That camera use a 7v, not 7.4.

A: I am using this item with my D810 for video shooting. A dummy battery works fine with the cord attached without any problem. It seemed the minor difference of 0.4V won't kill the camera.

[19 mm Rod Mount] Bought from B&H new in Spring 2018. Still working in Summer 2020 without issue. Crossing my fingers, never had the issues others describe. Used with Maxoak V mount batteries. Never tried charging the batteries via this pinch as I believe manufacturer instructions said to charge via the battery's d-tap. Used with several monitors, GH5 and BMPCC4k. 5

[19 mm Rod Mount] I use this unit with my Panasonic GH4, Quick Release Gini Rig, and Atomos Shogun. It powers my GH4 and Shogun for many hours (4-5) with my AB Hytron 120. In addition, it helps to balance my Gini Rig, which also includes a Fotga DP3000 matte box and Gini Rig follow focus. I use d-tap to d-tap with the Shogun's dummy battery, and the dummy battery for the GH4 plugged into the 7.4v. I couldn't be any happier. 5
