Widen the persepctive of your wide-angle lens even further with the Sony VCL-ECU2 Ultra Wide Converter. This conversion lens is for the Sony SEL16F28 16mm f/2.8 and SEL20F28 20mm f/2.8 E-mount lenses. The 16mm f/2.8 Alpha E-mount lens has a 35mm equivalent length of 24mm which becomes 18mm when used with the VCL-ECF2, and the 20mm f/2.8 lens goes from a 35mm equivalent of 30mm to 24mm. It is constructed of 3 elements in 3 groups. Front and rear lens caps and a carrying case are included to help protect the lens.

A: This converter is specifically built for the 20mm f/2.8 pancake lens. Unfortunately it will not fit a sigma lens.

Q: 6. Can I attach a filter to the 16mm lens and then attach the adapter?

A: It is not possible to attach a filter to the 16mm lens and then attach the adapter because the adapter uses a bayonet mount that is built into the lens. It is also not possible to mount a filter onto the adapter (you may already know this). Bottom line - no filters with this combination. However, the quality of the image with the adapter is actually better than with the 16mm lens alone.

Q: 7. It's fit on sel28f20 but the picture isn't good (focus not work also), why?

A: Hi! This converter is specifically designed for SEL16F28 and SEL20F28 lenses. We don't recommend using it on SEL28F20. -Anthony

A: Yes. The lens hood is fixed.

Q: 9. Is this compatible with the stock lens in the alpha a 6000 the SELP1650?

A: The Sony VCLECU2 Ultra Wide converter will not be compatible with the Sony 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 that comes with the a6000. The converter is only compatible with the Sony 16mm f/2.8 and 20mm f/2.8 lenses.

Q: 10. Can I use the ultra wide converter with a 16-50mm lens?

A: No, my 16-50mm kit lens has has a 40.5mm thread, but the ultra-wide converter uses a 49mm thread, as found on the Sony 16mm wide angle lens.

[4.4 oz (125 g)] I am currently traveling across Europe, and this WCON-P01 converter has proved to be a perfect combination of price, portability, and utility. If you are a consumer looking for a small device to expand the capabilities of your PEN camera without adding bulk or spending a large sum of money, I highly recommend going with the CON series. Also, B&H offers it at a cheaper rate than on the Olympus website, making this purchase even better. At this price, the product obviously has its drawbacks, most notably, the time it takes to fumble around with removing a UV (or other) filter from the 14-42mm lens and replacing it with the converter (which doesn't fit properly with the bayonet device if the filter is left attached). Still, for the price and portability, this is an excellent buy. 5

[4.4 oz (125 g)] Using it on the kit lens with my oly epl5 and it works perfectly. Widest at 11mm wide enough without much noticeable distortion. Good for time where 14mm is just not wide enough in group shots. Metal and good solid glass construction. It does not effect the AF performance. 5

[3/3] This thing is awsome, if you think about how much it cost to get a lens in 20mm variant, it makes sense to get this one with the 35mm, you have native fe auto focus, seems to be constructed well, only looses one f stop, I love it 5

[3/3] I use it with 16mm lens and a7s. mainly for gimbal use. Works great for video. Auto focus very useful for gimbal type of work. This new version also works with Panasonic 14mm f2.5 lens. I have tested. It works. So really nice adapter for either sony or m4/3 system. For the price, you can not go wrong. 5
