Q: 7. Can I use this as a direct replacement for rbc123? It seems only that I may get about 28.5% extra time/capacity as 9ah vs 7ah.

A: This is a direct fit for the unit and replaces RBC123 directly. Time remaining will look shorter than actual if the unit is designed for the lower capacity unit, but time is extended. I replaced the unit long after warranty expired so was not an issue for me.

A: No. the desk portion requires the stand for support. Removing it from the stand is to facilitate storage or transportation only.

Q: 10. Is this cartridge compatible with APC XS 1500? Thanks!

A: Yes this is the right battery. But please note the following: The new battery pack's connection socket is different from the older XS 1500. You must remove the mounting bracket that comes with this new RBC (Replacement Battery Pack)124) and reuse the old mounting bracket that originally came with your old XS 1500 unit because it has the proper connector to plug into the old unit.

[Steel] I had one of these for years and somehow lost it. I still had my case from the other one like this and so glad to find another at a good price. This is a very sturdy compact stand. I've ordered others but they just aren't comparable. Just make sure you follow the directions to disassemble and you'll be fine. Don't hesitate to purchase this stand. It will hold a good size notebook. 5
