A: The K&M 252 Microphone Stand with Boom Arm (Black) features a 3-section telescoping shaft, while the 210/9 has only a 2-section shaft. The 210/9 is also slightly taller at max height.

[7.7 lb] I bought two of these to go w/B&H booms, one of which I had owned for over 10 yrs. These are nicely weighted, stable stands and they fold easily for transport--I appreciate this as I have 2-3 gigs per week. I use one boom well-extended and position one tripod leg directly below the boom, for my violin (SM57). The other with shorter boom for vocals (SM58). These stand won't budge until you pick them up to move them. Boom arm does not droop from weight of mic. I cannot comment on long-term durablility as I've owned them less than a month, but I appreciate that K&M sells replacement moveable parts so I can repair if needed. Definitely worth the investment after wearing out the cheap flimsies I was using before.

[7.7 lb] We have been impressed with this stand when we use it with our MEVO camera. It is very slim yet quite stable and sturdy. It helps to make the camera much less obtrusive.

[7.7 lb] This is the heavy-lifting big brother to the On Stage SS8800B Speaker Stand. However, I feel that (aside from the K&M's huge load rating) the outstanding difference is that the On Stage SS8800B will last several years of weekend use, whereas the K&M 213 should survive roughly TWICE as long, ...being hauled, rigged and demounted on a DAILY basis. So the seemingly large difference in outlay can actually end up being cheaper on a cost per hour basis, given that your gear is always on the move like mine. It's also important to note that, like the SS8800B, it's raised and lowered by a screw jack, ...decidedly NOT the rack and pinion or cable and reel solution offered by most others. This is a VITAL difference because, when UNclamped ...the screw jack is the ONLY mechanism of these that will remain solidly fixed unless it's actually being cranked. That makes use of the riser's locking bolt optional, mainly to prevent acoustically induced rattles or buzzes.Check out my earlier review of the On Stage SS8800B and you'll notice thatK&M's commitment to safety extends to their catalog pics of the stand actually showing it CORRECTLY deployed. That earlier review also contains a few other tips that I hope you'll find useful when setting up this type of tripod spreader system, regardless of manufacturer.

[5/8"-27 Male] In the past I bought another brand of a one handed adjustable mic stand and it had a lot of stand handling noise that got picked up by the mic. That other brand also broke after 4 months of use. The construction of the K&M stand is much sturdier and has less handling noise. It just feels better and made of stronger quality material. The K&M is a quality product I plan on buying for our back up singer as well. Very Happy with this

[Black] One-hand mechanism is smooth and easy. Stand base has a good weight - both stable and easy to tilt if you want to ham it up. The instructions warn you that the rubber ring under the heavy base could leave a black mark on certain floor types - we therefore put a paper towel under it to protect the carpet.

[Black] Worth every penny! Solid, wide base with a very tight hand clutch that doesn’t move unless you use the clutch! Nicely done!
