A: Matthews Hollywood Frame consists of four Hollywood Corners, four 6' sections of 1" square aluminum tubing. The corners tighten down on to the tubing and keeps the frame together.

A: The Slice 10580 Precision Knife has a 15.5 mm (0.61 in) cutting depth, which will handle 18.5 mil thick paper.

A: Yes - this frame is made for this task.

Q: 7. Does this come with a stand?

A: It doesn't. The attachment is a rod of 5/8 diamter, about 3 3/4 free length. If you wish to fit the unit onto a standard tripod with a male adapter, you'll need an adapter with both ends female. It may be better to interpose a pivoting adapter. That way, you can match the angle of the frame to the angle of your light source. There may be different solutions that will work utilising the equipment that you already have. I hope that helps.

A: Unfortunately, this Matthews 12 x 12 Snap-A-Part Frame cannot build into an 8 x 8 frame with the includes sections.

[3.3 lb] I bought this to use it with rosco diffusion papers. I was fearing it would be heavy, but I'm glad it is not.. It doesn't feel cheap and have some weight but not heavy for a lightwight stand to hold. It's not large or huge but it's not detachable, which I already knew before i ordered, makes it a bit tough to transport. Overall it is great and a must in my kit. 5
