The JP-DV Surface Mount Vandal-Resistant Color Video Door Station from Aiphone is used with the JP Series Video Intercom. The unit mounts directly to wall surface or to a 1-gang box with the MKW-P plate. The JP-DV faceplate is cast zinc, the call button is metal and the camera is protected with a clear polycarbonate lens cover. The JP-DV features a color CMOS camera, speaker and mic for communication, and an illuminated call directory and white illumination LED for low light conditions.

A: This system can only support 1 outdoor station. For 2 outdoor stations, the JF Series is recommended.

A: The PortaCom WingMAN 500 Intercom Interface Station, BH #POWM500 can be used to connect this hardwired system to ProtaCom UltraLink or Clearcom wireless stations.

Q: 4. Is the door module has a card reader either mifare or rfid?

A: The Hikvision DS-KIS602 Modular IP Video Intercom Kit BH #HIVITCMBDL does not include a card reader.

Q: 5. Can this unit generate a doorbell sound?

A: Axis Communications I8016-LVE Network Video Intercom does not generate a doorbell chime.

Q: 6. CAN I SIMPLY PURCHASE 2 OF THESE AND VIDEO CHAT DIRECTLY BETWEEN THE 2? OR IS THERE ANY OTHER PIECE OF EQUIPMENT NEEDED?

A: Yes, the Aiphone IX-MV7-HW-JP IP Video Master Stations could connect to each other. Aiphone says that you only need to work with an Ethernet switch as well as adjust some settings to let them speak with each other.

Q: 7. how do I add 2nd Monitor?

Q: 8. 2 part question, Are both parts of this kit POE ? and can I add another DS-KH6320 indoor station and a DS-KH8350 indoor station and have everything powered with POE?

A: The Hikvision DS-KIS602 Modular IP Video Intercom Kit BH #HIVITCMBDL needs at leas one included power supply. Q: 9. Can you hook up a second inside monitor to this unit?

A: Yes you can. You will need to run the additional wiring from the main unit to the second unit location. We did not add a second unit as it would have been very expensive for us to run the required wiring to the desired location (numerous entries into the walls to pull the wire and repair of same once the wire was in place). Really depends on how much money and time you are willing to spend.

Q: 10. Is this just the button and I must also separately buy a station, or is this the whole intercom?

A: This is just the door unit. [525 lines] We use this product in a translation system to allow the translator control over their input as well as listen to the program feed. Solid construction, buttons and knobs are well made. We use this in conjunction with a Henry Multiphones II unit which sends power and program feed over CAT5. This is a fantastic feature. We were unsure of Henry Products as we have never used them, but have thus far been very satisfied. 5
